Even other non-Bat properties with a Bat-character in them gradually warp to focus on said character or fit Bat-style stories via that character. Witness Robin being the nominal series lead of every Titans media since '04 or Harley Quinn overtaking the Suicide Squad.
It is more sad given that non-Bat properties have been successful, even recently, but Warner always finds a way to cuck them.

Flash and Arrow got big off the CW, only for them to do nothing with Arrow and have the Flash film to turn around and suck off Batman.

Aquaman was one of the most successful DC movies, yet again, just nothing but a sequel sent to die and that one TTG-styled short series that lasted all of a minute.
Wonder Woman is another that did well, and while they will dick ride for woke points, they never did anything substantial with the brand beyond the sequel, which was, once again, was sent out to die. Only thing WW has on the horizon is that video game that is likely cancelled.
Shazam should also be mentioned as the first film did well, only for WB to treat it poorly later on, mostly so Dwayne can have his vanity project.

Superman is now seeing decent success with that new cartoon and the CW series, but even that might erode as Gunn wants all focus on his version.

We live in a world where Captain Planet is now a viewed as a less risky investment than a non-Batman DC movie.
Do you have a link? Just you have posted fake shit from 4chan before

edit: found it myself, so this one is indeed real. Link for anyone who wants the full story

But short of it is, movie is in the works from Leonardo DiCaprio's company in a deal with Paramount but has yet to be given the greenlight. Nothing to do with DC, or seems like Warner Bros weirdly.

Not too surprising, I can easily see Captain Planet being used to push "The Message". Obviously global warming bullshit will be a front and center in the story, and the planeteers are already sufficiently ethnically diverse. There's no way they don't gay up or troon out at least one or two of them.
Loving it here in the timeline where fucking Captain Planet isn't politically correct enough already

Can you even have mutant villains anymore? X-men 97 don’t want to admit magneto a bad guy.
We already had the perfect version, we don't need this.
He unironically a good casting for Captain Planet.

Fables and A Wolf among us are still the most popular thing that came out of vertigo with zero connection with the DC universe. Just a friendly reminder, WOKE DC Comics pretty much openly bullied Bill Willingham for being pro-Israel and pro-life. All the art is political crowd wanted him gone because he put pro-Israel and anti-abortion themes in fables.

Oh dear lord I can hear the insufferable preaching already. You'd best not even dream the movie won't have a gay tranny in it.

Another DC bomb incoming:

New Report Is Bad News for Monolith's Wonder Woman Game

The development of Monolith Productions' Wonder Woman game is "troubled," according to a newly surfaced report. This claim doesn't inspire confidence in the possibility that DC Comics fans will be able to get their hands on the long-awaited game anytime soon.

Monolith announced its Wonder Woman project in December 2021, during The Game Awards. That occasion saw the studio share a brief teaser showing a model of Diana wielding the Lasso of Truth, with the video itself being narrated by her mother, Hippolyta. The Kirkland, Washington-based company also confirmed that its upcoming title had been envisioned as an open-world game as part of the announcement. Little else has been shared about the project ever since.

Wonder Woman Game Is Reportedly Unlikely to Appear at SGF 2024

And while this period of radio silence continues, a new report that raises some concerns about the state of the game has emerged. During the latest Kinda Funny Gamescast episode, host Greg Miller characterized the Wonder Woman game as a "troubled" project, citing an unnamed source familiar with its development. He said this insight was provided to him at some point in the last year, i.e., from June 2023 onward. In light of that revelation, Miller opined that the Wonder Woman game is unlikely to appear at the upcoming Summer Game Fest 2024, which starts on June 7. "I don't hold out hope that it's in a place to show something," he concluded.

This bit of unofficial insight into the project has the potential to frustrate some fans, who have been waiting to see more of the game for almost three years as of mid-2024. The only official information that was shared since the late 2021 reveal arrived in November 2023, when publisher Warner Bros. said that Wonder Woman will not be a live-service game.

DC Comics fans aren't the only demographic eager to see more of Monolith's next project. Given the company's pedigree of creating innovative and action-packed experiences such as the F.E.A.R. and Middle-Earth franchises, there is no shortage of people eager to learn what Monolith can do with an open-world Wonder Woman game.

2024 marks the seventh year in a row without a new game from the U.S. studio. Its latest title is still Middle-earth: Shadow of War, which was released to widespread acclaim in October 2017. The game delivered a second take on Monolith's unique Nemesis system, allowing players to develop dynamic rivalries with enemies. A late 2023 report from XboxEra claimed that the Wonder Woman game will also feature this mechanic in some shape or form.

That worked out so well at the box office.

No, they need to remember that they own both of the World’s Finest. Batman and Superman are all that matters with DC, nobody gives a fuck about the rest.

DC did that to themselves.
MCU's most recognizable property was Hulk, and it bombed

Nigger that was 2008. Fuck off.

How many DC films starring guys who aren’t Wayne Bruce or Kent Clark came out in the last three years and bombed?

Hulk has also never been on Superman or Batman’s level of popularity, those two plus Spider-Man are the superheroes.

Gee, I wonder what happened since then that caused obscure IPs like GotG and Antman to become so much more popular.

Maybe DC/WB should try making some movies that don't look obviously terrible to anybody who happens to catch a trailer, and if that doesn't work, we can blame the IPs. I'd watch a Blue Beetle movie. I just ain't watching THAT Blue Beetle movie.

The boom is over, the days of niche characters blowing up like Guardians are long gone.

Superman/Batman are all that matter from DC. It’s a massive mistake shoving in nobodies like Mister Terrific, Gay Gardner and the Authority into Superman’s intro film.
