Anyone who tells you to skip New Batman Adventures is telling you to deprive yourself of the great episode that is Over The Edge, and you can tell that person to fuck right off.
it also has Joker's Millions which has my favorite hamill joker line, "well, drown our kids and shoot the neighbors!" always makes me laugh

Watched the episode "Mean Season". If this episode was released in modern times, you and /co/ would be bitching about them gender-swapping a male villain whose only noteworthy comics role was as an extraneous Hannibal Lecter wannabe in Long Halloween.

My biggest gripe with modern batman is that they focus too much on the dark edgy shit.

Do people just forget that batman truly wants to rehabilitate his foes? Hell one of the most famous comics, the killing joke, batman basically begs joker to stop and let him help him, and joker for once, breaks his character and somberly says it's too late for him.

God it's almost like the joker himself, despite all his insanity, is still a tragic character at heart, and had a very bad day!!!

It's almost like he's the polar opposite of batman, and wants to show batman he's as crazy as he is.

Yes I'm drunk, I'm at a bar reading the long halloween right now.

Seeing how batman used to treat his villains makes me upset that they forgot a core part of why batman is so popular.

It's not the badass villains, it's not the cool judo, it's the fact that batman is a good man doing the best he can.

Every villain is tragic, they tried to fit in and society spat them out.

Alright rant over, or I won't ever stop typing

Lesbian Asian Harley Quinn fat. Penguin female and fat. Even black Barbara Gordon fat. Will see a fat batgirl in season 2?

The other day I was at a comic shop and I saw that they recently reprinted Geoff John and Ethan van Sciver's Green Lantern run. His signature's even on the front cover. I'm surprised DC did that.

Well they still reprint Byrne’s stuff and Alan Moore’s and those two freaks are worse than Ethan.

it's because it sells like crazy. it became one of the evergreen books as soon as it started. it's the only green lantern run you ever see mentioned on the internet in more normie circles. it's not as popular as this, but it's the same reason they reprint knightfall every 2 months even though Bane was created by Chuck Dixon who wrote a lot of it. it actually sells. new garbage that doesn't they probably have contractual agreements to put a trade or two out. but shit like that? sells itself even if they wouldn't want to hire the talent again.

And if you weren't a dumbass, you'd know that Calendar Girl wasn't a sex-swapped Calendar Man but Dini and Timm ripping off an obscure Batman villainess called Manikin.

I feel like this is more of the outfits and dresses, this takes place in the what, 60s? 70s? even looking at old pics from back then, the women looked pretty meaty in those weird dresses.

I could also be coping because Im starved of batman and question related content

it's trying to capture a mix of 40s-50s-60s-70s styles and aesthetics in a softer way than TBATB did.

I have a feeling James Gunn will get #MEtoo by women before the Superman reboot movie comes out.
I hope so, not just because we all know he’s a creep but also because he’s using my guy as a vehicle for his hipster edgewank characters.

In no world should Superman have to share space with the Authority in a debut movie.

I am all for giving people their day in court and treating them as innocent until proven guilty. But male feminists? Fuck those guys. Especially the artsy kind. Snakes in the grass is how I describe them. And that goes triple for the woke variety. He spat in the face of those who would defend him for woke points.

And MovieBob will blame right-wing trolls.
More reason to remind him he was a victim of Lindsay Ellis #MEtooing him.
MovieBlob is someone hated by both sides. Like Quinton.

WB and DC are trying to chase Amazon the boys popularity when the show comes to an end. It's pretty pathetic
I bet half James Gunn DC projects get cancelled. Even his Hal Jordan casting looks awful.
Gunn is like spice. He can help with the Cinematic Universe but he is not meant to be the main ingredient. He cannot be allowed to plan the whole thing. Kinda like Watiti did with Thor. It was fine when he had limited power in Ragnarok but he overdid it in Love and Thunder. Gunn is the same in that regard.

The Authority are a bunch of cunts lacking in any form of charisma. Had they had a worse artist, they would have been forgotten.

Authority appears to be a stand in to do a Kingdom Come type story. New heroes who Superman disagree with their actions.

As for Gaiman I know that article wants to make it seem like Netflix cancelled Dead Boy Detectives over the allegations he's facing but if they really wanted to cut ties with him, they'd also would have cancelled Sandman. Dead Boy Detectives probably didn't get enough views to justify another season.

See, using them for KC will only work if their flick ends with them recruiting Magog and with them as side characters in the whole “Rise, Fall and Redemption of Superman” thing that Gunn is doing.

Because unlike the Authority, Magog is a good character and saw the error of his ways. During the final battle he can be seen in the background saving people.

They’re so unrepentant that the only way I’d want to see them is as nuke-fodder, but Gunn wouldn’t do that cause he likes them.
