With Hollywood being what it is, Snyder would've had to say something to that effect lest he risk being put on the Hollywood naughty list for association with the wrong people. Whether he genuinely believes any of it or it's only legalistic ass covering is the unanswered question.

The Batman sequels announcements were only made after it was clear the penguin was successful. The Arkham asylum show went from being canceled to uncanceled and apart from the DCU to being canceled again. James Gunn goes out of his way to hype up Blue Beetle and other DC projects, yet he likes to cast doubt on the Batman 2 production. By tweeting, the Batman 2 script was not even finished yet. Matt Reeves while never directly calling out James Gunn. Confirmed the Batman 2 script is near a finished state at the same time as the plans for Penguin season 2 being worked on. The Batman 2 taking so long is more of a WB thing than script issue.

That doesn't give evidence of hatred, these are just random journalists on websites known for not being credible. Especially CBR and Screenrant where they can get anyone off the street to write for them.

Even so, this sounds more like it would be on WB than Gunn since at the end of the day, WB is the one running everything and they are very well known for canceling projects that don't seem profitable, or would better suit their tax returns. The Penguin was the first television show in that cinematic universe so there was no guaranteed it would be a success. If it was not successful, only Reeves' Batman movies would probably go forward while the shows would be cancelled.

The same is going to apply to James Gunn since if his projects aren't profitable, Warner Bros can easily axe him. Especially since they explicitly hired him because of his Guardians films being financially successful and his DC stuff being critically acclaimed.

Again, I am not defending Gunn. I am just pointing out that Snyder isn't much better. Geeks And Gamers learned this the hard way. They wanted him to be their hollywood hero, and he distanced himself from them FAST. Of course Gunn should be critized, and harshly so, but that doesn't make Snyder the based option by default.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with "doubt" regarding Snyder being leftie because he shat on Geeks & Gamers (who aren't even really right-wing). If you watch Snyder's films, he's not even subtle about conservative imagery.

Superman isn’t like other comic characters, each comic “era” and it’s Superman is a seperate guy, Golden Age, Silver Age, Post-Crisis and New 52 Superman are all seperate characters.

New 52 Superman died and his Lois died soon after and the true Superman and Lois came back.

The only political learning I see in Zack Snyder's movies is he's pro-west and likes Jesus. 300 subtexts that are about the global war on terror that are not even subtle. At most, Zack Snyder is a fan of the bisexual villains trope, but I don't think he is homophobic. Alan Moore calls 300 an islamophobic, homophobic movie. Because Muslims are famous for liking faggots. A lot of people somehow over look the Jesus symbolism in 300. Which is far less subtle than even the Jesus symbolism in man of steel.
