So the like moral lesson of the show is "the world would be perfect and peacemaker would have a happy loving family if there were no blacks?" lmaoo.

Then a final montage of peacemaker and crew murdering men, women, and children in the nazi dimension with Peacemaker personally stabbing to death a blond girl on a light rail train in Charlotte to cap things off while "Nazi Punks Fuck Off" plays? lol I cant believe people actually watch this slop.
Having never made it past episode 2 in the first season, I cannot tell how much of the above is parody / made-up.

But the fact that I cannot tell is significant in itself.

Every single Troma alumnus is just the fat fedora artist from a Stonetoss comic. James Gunn is hardly the exception.

“Heh. I dropped a cross into peepee. I bet you’ve never met an artist this edgy before, huh?”

James Gunn creature commandos celebrated conservatives getting killed. DC writers celebrate Charlie Kirk getting killed.

Kindness means "let me push your buttons and boundaries with no consequences." Kindness means "let me do whatever I want, and if you push back I will destroy you."
Woketards hate you and want you dead, and this makes their writing feels like they're sneering at best, outright mocking you at worst.

Exhibit A: Funny how the left is always so violent and quick to attack others.

Gunn's entire DC writing room collectively creaming themselves over the most middle-of-the-road conservative getting executed in front of his young daughter would be no surprise. Very predictable, kindness is the new punk rock after all.

Trying to understand what the appeal of this stuff is, to me this "banter" is nails on a chalkboard terrible, sounds like a student film trying to imitate old school shane black style banter and failing:

this is as bad as zack snyder dialog, maybe worse because it just goes on and on and on.

What in the shitty ass Joss Weadon shit was that dialogue?

How the discourse plays out over the next couple weeks i do have to wonder if we'll see any talk about pulling episodes or editing episodes the way you saw tv networks do all the time in the 2010s because of school shootings, Spike completely cancelled their Heathers tv show because of a school shooting. Especially with what just happened combined with the rhetoric about Kirk being a nazi you'd have to wonder if the inevitable massacre on Peacemaker will be re-edited or they'll reedit any of the boys upcoming season.

For some reason James Gunn teasing 9/11 happening in the DCU.
what a weird concept, like it might as well be a full alt history but you'd think something like a terrorist attack and seeing the frustrations of his parents watching it happen live would be a foundational moment for superman. I'd rather the DCU just go full "all major cities changed" than have this weird mishmash they've been trying in recent history of the comics.

9/11 couldn't happen in DC because Supes would fly there instantly. Unless there was Kryptonite hidden nearby in the worst case scenario he would be able to "only" stop one of the planes. Even then, there's Flash, Wonder woman, and even Batman to reduce the damage and detain the culprits. Most writers were wise enough to not mix RL events with superheroes for obvious reasons, as it quickly becomes dumb otherwise. Seems Pedogunn didn't get the memo.

Say what you want about New 52. It at least tried to address the question of why Superman didn't stop 9/11 by retconning the DC universe to say that only non-superpowered superheroes like Batman and Green Arrow were active before 9/11. At the same time, the WWII DC Golden Age heroes still existed, but most people thought the Justice Society of America was a myth.

The Man in the High Castle (the book and the show) and the Wolfenstein games both did a good job of creating a post Nazi victory world that seemed genuinely dystopian. So it is possible to do that. But from what we have seen in Peacemaker so far the world seems to be, for white people at least, a pretty nice place. So I'm not sure the intended message is really getting through. Also, I know it has already been pointed out, but this twist would have been a lot less predictable even 10 years ago before 1) relentless DEI stuff and 2) constant screeching about Nazis even in media that has nothing to do with Nazis.

i'm stealing this from 4chan but technically communism and fascism both had a massive hard on for indians, so we might be living in the best timeline statistically just in terms of how long we've avoided dealing with the Indian Menace. Like what if time travelers actually went back in time because this is the best timeline in terms of how long we avoid the Indian Menace destroying western civilization.

a post-nazi victory quickening the process of the Jeet invasion is sort of a legit dystopia

Jesus, just leave out real events. DC already replaces many cities with fictional ones (or at least did), no need to add unnecessary complication to what is a fantastical world by trying to tie in real world elements that clearly don't work.

Arguably, DC should be set in a somewhat fluctuate timeline of being both behind and ahead. Gotham and Metropolis work best when they heavily invoke the 50s, being a weird blend of the architecture of yesteryear, yet having elements even more advanced than today.

Hmm, how did the Tick react to 9/11? If I'm not mistaken, in Krazy Kat the towers fell down because Ignatz hit them with a big brick.

I see those hipster glasses and that active Gen X lifestyle hairdo and just know Gunn will handle that topic tastefully.

That's the kind of stuff I was talking about. It's inane, and it assumes the old timey heroes were twiddling their thumbs all this time. For not to mention DC is not Earth. We don't have Gotham last time I checked, although I read something about Chicago being worse than Gotham.

With clean streets, advanced techs, and space bases in Mars, the Moon and can't recall what else. Worse, the resistance are even more psychotic than the Nazis, along with some blatant commie sympathizers.
For good or bad that's the writers being so incompetent, that they accidentally made the Nazis don't look as bad.

Get ready for Lex to become an mc in the DC universe. Under a good writer, this can work as Lex arguably always becomes one at some point, but Gunn's man-child take has me skeptical as to how this may work out.
