Anyway, I think this newest episode of Peacemaker should've been delayed or outright pulled/canned (alongside potentially the rest of the series). The sniper scene at the beginning is in incredibly poor taste and I think the days of gleefully watching gorey TV and movies are behind us culturally. Seeing large amounts of blood and tasteless violence just reminds me of Charlie Kirk's murder and leaves me feeling sick. It would be in DC's best interest to drop/reedit the show and move forward in a more bloodless direction.

That being said, there is something rather powerful about the scene when Eagly and the eagles were able to kill the hunter guy. It made me think about how we as Americans are strong because we have each other and how we can come together against evil. That's really special to me and reminds me of why I love our nation. No clue if it was intentional, but it made me feel. But even then, the blood was really uncomfortable to see after witnessing Charlie's assassination. I don't think I want to see gore used willy nilly going forward.

I disagree. No one dies in the scene. Are we going to preempt every show that has a SWAT Team because of Kirk?

Anyway crazy that we’re already halfway thru the Season and nothing big has really dropped. Definitely agree with online speculation that the alternate universe is one where America is whites only because they just keep showing this other timeline with no minorities. But it’s comical that’s it is such a better world for Peacemaker.

WIth the former, not really. While the West has obviously had some beautiful looking cartoons, we've always had a problem with people making intentionally ugly art. That really hit its peak in the 90s with stuff like Ren and Stimpy and all the other gross out Nickelodeon cartoons. I think the reason this is so jarring is that DC never really had that type of cartoon. Everything's always been fairly brand safe and has never strayed all too far from the heroic imagery of these characters.
 
Speaking of horrible cartoons, I watched Batman Aztec! Commentary + spoilers below:

It's mediocre-to-shit. The animation is terrible, to begin with. As predicted here and everywhere else, it glorifies the fucking Aztecs, you know, the "hated by everyone" savages who performed daily blood sacrifice, cannibalism, mutilation, and God knows what else. At the same time, the Spanish are shown as one-note lol-evil greedy bastards (complete with one of them laughing in a cartoonish way for no reason). The movie pays a minimum of lip service to history, but I like how it glosses over the "sacrifices" part. I expected those to be ignored to push the victim narrative...

But nope! They are shown, briefly, as if it were a thing that just kinda happens, lol. More interestingly, the usual perpetrator of those heinous crimes is Joka, the high priest who desperately tries to save his people by obeying every word of his god, going as far as to sacrifice his own family in a desperate bid to achieve something... Only to realize Tezcatlipoca, the local god of chaos and trickery, had tricked him. He goes insane and smiles menacingly... And does fuck all until the very end of the movie, when he joins Cortez and thus betrays his own people, whom he was supposed to protect, all to get at Batman.

Speaking of the bat, the character is made worse by the woke stuff that of course it's here. To start, not-Bruce is not a fond believer of the gods (which could get you killed ASAP, I bet), probably part of the free will thing... but if it was trying to push the narrative that gods do not dictate our actions, blabla, it falls flat because gods are shown to be very real here (oh and Poison Ivy is here too! Now as a druid spirit vision who gives cryptic advice and kills le evil chud Spaniards so she's totally real). Bruce is initially a weakling, but he's somewhat trained by Cat Jaguar Woman. His first sortie is a failure, but JW saves him, because of course a strong woman will be better at everything than the male hero (I like how JW is the one to disfigure Cortez and make him become Two-Face, unlike the damn protagonist standing right here). Oh, and the Jaguar disguise has pinkish hair feathers, which I'm sure was intentional. JW pretends not to be heroic despite stealing from her people to give it to her poor family (which, again, I bet it's the kind of crime that could get you killed horribly back then), but she totally helps not-Bruce whenever possible, and in fact, she's the one who always has the initiative in the two's relationship.

Anyway, not-Bruce uses his protagonist powers to forge himself an armor and Batarangs from the stuff he stole from the Conquistadors, makes himself a bunch of bombs after instantly understanding how gunpowder works, and starts a one-man guerrilla war against the Spaniards. There's a final battle where a lot of people are killed, and Bats seems to bite it... Except that the local Bat God resurrects him, setting up things for a sequel that will NOT happen.

In short, a racist, mediocre, lame but surprisingly not gay movie, as expected (surprisingly, there are no gay couples, or at least none immediately apparent).
Could be much worse, I guess.

He's almost certainly just a mouthpiece because he's the recognizable DC guy now. At Pax the developer said he'd never even met James Gunn iirc. That being said, expect this to be woke because it's Lego, which hates family values and wants to push LGBT mutilation on your children. I'm not going to forget when they put Ruth Bader Ginsburg in The Lego Movie and when they put out the tranny Lego set and sneak the tranny colors on everything. They want your kids raped.

I truly hope so. The day the receipts finally drop and the victims come out of the woodwork (probably the little boys who play young Peacemaker and his brother) will be one for the history books. The sperging from his leftist fanboys will be heard all around the world.

Interesting that James Gunn gave this guy a role in Superman (he's the news anchor who interviews Lex and then later Peacemaker), given Gunn is also alleged to molest young boys as a hobby allegedly. I guess they stick together.
