The thing is, Gunn promised WB a billion bucks theatrically for Superman and he's $350 million short.
That's why The Batman 2 has been officially confirmed.
If The Batman 2 makes more money than Superman... which it will... Gunn will never get anywhere near a live action Batman.

This is one of the most stupid things I've seen in comics book media and that's saying something. Even if by some unlikely and contrived sequence of events the USA were ruled by Nazis (what happened? Did Germany somehow invade across the Atlantic and occupy America? Did Americans themselves adopt Nazism? Never mind - I'm sure it will be stupid), that doesn't turn people into rage zombies that flip out and begin charging in a mob after a Black person. It's just the most absurd nonsense you could imagine. It's an eight year old's idea of Nazis. An indoctrinated eight year old's at that!
It's ludicrous. If they're that scared of her they wouldn't be chasing her? If they're not that scared of her they wouldn't suffer a total mental breakdown at the sight of her. And he really did it - he really decided to present the idea that the USA would be happy and clean and peaceful if it were all White people. How the Hell is he doing this? Has nobody online anywhere called him on this?

The Batman 1 was a bit cringe, with the villain basically winning and then giving himself in, just like that, while Bats stood there like a moron, and Mexican black Black Cat calling him a dirty whitey. I wonder how worse it will be now that wokeness has gotten worse.
As for the NAAZIS! thing, the left has no self-awareness and acts as if Nu-Wolfenstein could fly today, copy-pasting the same idea over and over because they have no imagination.
This is what Leftards believe their rivals to be (as anyone who disagrees with them is clearly a NAAZI!), and this show was 5 years ago.

According to Gunn himself, he never intends any political takes to be in his product, which is either total bullshit intended to cover his ass from getting fired like the Red Hood writer or his brain melted from the stress of getting cancelled for his pedophile joke tweets and he's vomiting whatever random thoughts he has into the script without thinking of how it could be taken. Considering how slapped together his cinematic universe has been so far, either could be true.
It's not like it's gone unnoticed, if you look at Twitter, plenty of left wing accounts are fed up with him and are accusing him of being a Zionist because of this statement.

It's hard for me not to leap up and defend The Batman at the slightest thing because I think so highly of it, but even I wont deny that the line about White privilege was the low point. I don't know what they were thinking and it is so jarring I wonder if Reeves actually wanted that line in there or if it was rammed in there by someone else. Hey, at least they didn't try to make Catwoman a Mary Sue who is Batman's equal and superior in all things. She's a thief and they do a pretty cool job of showing she can fight whilst still having Batman deal with her handily. In this day and age, that's something of a miracle.
Honestly I really like their different styles. She's a lot more bouncy and external, lots of kicks, almost balletic. He's more like a boxer, closed in, guarded, knocks her back every time she over-extends. And there's no unrealistic strength we usually get where a slightly built woman is tossing around grown men. He's clearly larger and stronger.
Ah yes, Doom Patrol back in S1 when it was strange and good. Boy did that show take a sad and political dive.

DC cracked the whip and told Gunn that making films about the Authority, Clayface and Sgt. Rock was retarded when his debut Superman film barely cracked 600$ million, he's making a Green Lantern streaming show instead of a film and the only other Justice League member he has plans for is Wonder Woman (who he'll probably make a lesbian).

Honestly, he might not have intended Palestine/Israel. If anything, it was more than likely supposed to be Ukraine/Russia, but since he stupidly made the sides of the conflict a white nation invading a clearly middle eastern looking one, it is hard not to see the similarities. If you watch the film without looking for much political, you likely will not see it as a critique of current events. I say this as my dad recently watched it and didn’t see any of this.
This should have been happening from the beginning. The fact that Gunn doesn’t even have a JL lineup was a telling sign for how poorly this was all going to go. Under a sensible head, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern would be top priority for first projects with maybe room for Aquaman and Green Arrow before JL.
After that you can develop your weirdos, and even then priority should be given to heavy hitters like Justice League Dark, Justice League International, Teen Titans (arguably should be built alongside JL), and maybe characters like Static. Shit like the Authority and even then Suicide Squad should be bottom of the list in terms of priority, yet Gunn decided they were the biggest draws for some reason.
Probably lesser talked about, but does DC have anything for children currently? This has been a huge flaw with their entire business since the 2010s and something Gunn really needed to fix. Superman was a decent start, but Peacemaker being the “next step” of the DCEU murders any chance of future child audiences. No one wants to introduce their kids to a universe with giant orgies and swastikas being let loose. It also kills collaborations such as Fortnite or LEGO from touching the brand. Overall piss poor planning.

He did, their first appearances were in Creature Commandos along with a few others. Here are their first official appearances in the DCU:
Inspiring, hopecore, even. All this being done in a bad future scenario by some random Eastern European dictator. Batman showed up as a silhouette and Wonder Woman had a few side characters like a villain of hers named Circe showed up and gave the Creature Commandos this vision of the future.
There were also the "Sons of Themyscira", a group of men from the comics who were sons of the Amazons rejected at birth due to being male and were sent to live with Hephaestus, the Greek god of smithing. Gunn made them anti-woke Andrew Tate bros who invade the country of the previously mentioned dictator under the orders of Circe because they, no joke, are mad that the Amazons won't let them on their island and think it's sexist.
Superman had a children's book released along with the film and Gunn said that people should watch Peacemaker because it tied into Superman, and then the first episode had a bisexual orgy in it. So not really.

I think he's definitely lying to cover his ass. Perhaps he didn't mean for the conflict to resemble Israel/Palestine but when you have a nation of white folks invading a nation of brown folk when this conflict is like the biggest culture war thing at the moment, that's what its gonna come off as.
He's probably pretending its not a political take because the Jews run hollywood and if you cross them, they'll have you run right the fuck out of industry.

This should have been a no-brainer. The genre is stale and weak. People aren't going to come out for obscure 90s comic hero. You have to rebuild it after the years of slop. Which means smaller scale movies with known characters. If it gets healthy again, then you can do your obscure character movies. This shouldn't even be up for debate. But for some reason with Gunn it is.

I hadn't heard, but it makes me ill. leave booster the fuck out of this. the future being Indian takes away from the fantasy escapism of superheroes, don't remind me. but beyond that, why that guy? I don't even think if I was being colorblind I'd think he fits that role.
Man, something that has always made me laugh is children's tie in products to things not for children. I grew up pretty much watching/playing whatever the fuck I wanted because my parents taught me not to be retarded. but I remember seeing Dark Knight Rises picture books and laughing at them, I personally wouldn't have a problem with a small child watching that movie, but it'd bore the fuck out of them. I remember the book skipped like 85% of the movie because it wasn't going to show Batman being crippled brutally and the city taken over by terrorists.
Batman vs Superman had kid's books and toys too. Again, I'd let a 6 year old watch that, but they'd just be confused and bored. we had toys for R rated movies and stuff when I was a kid, and that's just funny to me too. Here's Rambo with PTSD action. I saw a playset of Batman, Catwoman and Penguin from The Batman where they had like chibi dimensions when that came out. It should have came with a falcone, so your kid could reenact him trying to strangle his daughter like he did her whore mother.
