I liked the first and I’m sure I’ll like the second. The first movie was so unabashedly Deadpool, especially with him breaking the fourth wall. It’s so subtle and perfect to relay his insanity due to his “transition”. The second movie is going to be great, if nothing else, because Cable and Deadpool are going to be the two sides to this story.

My sister's favorite line was "I wish I went to college."

I'll be curious to see if the Thanos and DC line will be kept in once it is released (the former will be more likely be still in the movie).

The first act is a slog to get through but once they assemble the X Force the movie really picks up and comes into its own. If it weren’t for the first third (and an incredibly cringey running gag about dubstep) I’d say it was better than the first movie. Some of the jokes and bits seriously had me in tears, and Cable is a much better villain than Francis. As is it’s still a really fun action comedy, but falls short of what it could have been.

I liked the part where
even the opening credits were pissed off that Vanessa got killed as soon as the movie began.
And that Colossus has a bigger role this time. And all the mid-credits scenes.

I will admit I stayed to see if there was anything after the credits (out of habit)

Yeah, that [spoilered part] was pretty great. That and
the first X-Force going out before anyone could do anything, the Juggernaut(and his theme song), and that mid credits, which must have been cathartic as shit for Reynolds.

I was surprised that
Brad Pitt was the Vanisher. I saw him get electrocuted and was all "oh he was real" but then come the credits I was all "oh shit!"

What's curious though, is that they didn't list an actor (or voice actor) for the Juggernaut. The VA credit was surprising but I guess just watching him onscreen should have tipped me off that he was CGI'ed like Colossus. Is it weird that that didn't even register?

Ryan Reynolds voiced the Juggernaut, actually.

As for other celebrity cameos, I was surprised to learn Matt Damon and Alan Tudyk played the rednecks Cable carjacks (truckjacks?), and Damon is credited as Dickie Greenleaf, a character he played in The Talented Mr. Ripley. Finding more subtle jokes like that in rewatches is going to be a lot of fun.

Yeah, I caught that in the credits. Pretty interesting. And Deadpool made a comment about it just before the fight began.

1. Bullshit. Source or did I miss something?
2. ....Motherfucker.
(About the Matt Damon part. Fuck Alan Tudyk.)

I might have caught that if I wasn't sitting next to these dumbfucks who were laughing as loud as possible (I can tell this was going to be fun based on the fact that they wouldn't shut the fuck up during the previews).

Also I got my ticket 10 minutes before the showing started so there was only 1 front row seat available. There were 5 taken but empty next to me. I should have fucking moved into one like I was thinking of doing.

I don’t know if there’s anything in the film that indicates Reynolds did the voice work. I only learned this by googling.
I never thought to look it up. Huh. I just assumed it was a setup for a different movie and we'd find out then who the fuck played Juggernaut.

In the film "Voice of Juggernaut" is credited "As Himself".

Also Peter should have been the protagonist of this movie
