Weird that everyone is chimping out about "Dear White People" but haven't heard anyone complaining about his movie

Definitely going to see this. This movie almost seems like a dave chappelle sketch.

I'm triggered that, because I cancelled Netflix many years ago, I am unable to react to this offense by boycotting it. I guess I could sign up for a month and then cancel in protest... that'll show em.

So, a low budget Netflix show that use provocative title and trailer is disliked because people are tired of that "ugh, white people" mentality. I believe most of dislikes on youtube was just because of that. People diliked video and forgot about it next day. But some people are starting to act autistic and think this show is a sign of upcoming white genocide or domething like that.
Dear White People, be the smatrer ones and don't perpetuate that conflict.

It's just going to fade away despite all the publicity. The girl Ghostbusters movie drew tons of heat, but in the end it sucked so it didn't matter. Race-baiting titles like this show that liberals haven't accepted that their antics during the campaign turned off moderate and undecided voters and possibly cost them the election.

Anybody who wonders why blacks are despised, just pull a couple of Labor Ready shifts or go to Walmart on the 1st, soon you'll say nigger and feel good about it.
One of my brother's high school friends became an EMT in a semi-major city, Mexican guy that looks white, and being a rookie he got assigned the shitiest neighborhood in the city. After six months of dealing with their shit any feelings of empathy he had for their socioeconomic plight were gone.

I like how the first page of this thread is people that this thread is about.

Wasn't the movie about a biracial girl dating a white guy, and trying to make up for her mixed heritage by attaching herself to a black nationalist type group, but backfires in the end and she comes to a realization that all the stuff is a crock of shit?

Plus there's a plot hole here: They're obviously rich enough to go to whatever school they want if they can afford an Ivy League college. Couldn't the blacks in the show/movie just go to a place like HBCU?

I think everybody in the country is a giant raw nerve ending at the moment, so everybody is busy getting on everybody else's tits.

It's glorious.

Every time that trailer pops up on TV I start laughing. Especially the part where he tries to do a fist bump to the other black guy and the other guy just grabs it and shakes. That sequence happens over spooky background music.

"A black guy doesn't bump it? THIS PLACE IS NOT RIGHT! I GOTTA GET OUT MAN! I GOTTA GET OUT!"

Dear White People looks like a heavy-handed, preachy, sanctimonious yawnfest, but this looks hilarious. I thought from the beginning that it looked like it had promise, and it seems to have panned out.

are people still salty about this?

Dear White People or Get Out?

Jontron was a bit salty over the movie here, but that's really about it. I think the Netflix TV series is going to have to come out before people resume sperging out over it.

Making white people freak the fuck out is so easy it's barely even sporting. They're still upset that they're not allowed to say nigger publicly anymore without being socially ostracized.
