So I decided to watch the episode, and right from the intro, I could tell I was in for a rough ride:
Wiz: Who runs the world?

Boomstick: The ladies! So obviously there's a bunch of awesome crime-fighting chicks out there.

Wiz: Like Barbara Gordon, DC Comic's vigilante known as Batgirl.

Boomstick: And Marvel's Gwen Stacy, the one you know as Spider-Gwen. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.

Who the fuck wrote this?

The fight’s not that much better. It’s slow, janky, and the choreography is just abysmal. The characters stand still for a few seconds too long, the attacks barely have any impact, and the killing blow was ruined by the weird slow motion shots. Barbara’s model just looked ugly, and the voice acting came off as annoying more than anything.

It’s easily the worst thing they’ve made in a long time, and yes, that’s including the forgettable shit that was Wonder Woman vs She-Ra. Even Red vs Blue was better than this. At least that had a decent fight to it. This feels like it was their first time making a 3D fight. Hell, it’s worse than their actual first 3D fight.

Also, slight powerleveling, but I actually do know the guy they’re talking about. He was a dick who often flooded his page with status posts whining about stuff in the VS community or giving hot takes where he tried to upgrade characters without giving context for how they reached the levels he claimed. Highlights include spending over a week whining about how Death Battle wanked Esdeath, whining whenever the show gave results he didn’t like, bitching about how certain feats were “gameplay mechanics” despite using those same mechanics to upgrade characters he liked, and claiming that Marvel’s characters are 6D to 7D.

Honestly, shit about levels and how people talk about it and things like 6D is why I could never really understand online vs debating.

I mean, at least with Link vs Cloud, each attack felt like it had weight behind it. Plus they made better use of both characters’ arsenals in that episode. Link used his sword, shield, arrows, and bombs. Cloud, while admittedly not portrayed as well in that department, at least mixed up his fighting by using his Limit Breaks. Batgirl vs Gwen only had Babs use escrima sticks for a few seconds and barely made any use of her grapple gun; whereas Gwen mostly used her webs and barely used her symbiote’s other abilities.

So apparently the server’s members caught wind of me posting its messages, because one of them made this announcement:

It’s kinda sad to hear that since aside from my issues with the server, I actually kinda liked going on there. I mainly just posted their messages on here for the hell of it and didn’t think they’d actually invest time to look for them, what with our reputation as a supposed doxing website and all.

I also can’t help but find it’s a bit hypocritical to take shots at lurkers when most of the users there were lurkers, and one of their members would’ve had to lurk on here and leak our messages for something like this to happen in the first place.

Well, on the plus side you can claim to be just about anybody in that channel to instantly guck someone over. Great job discord admin, should have just accepted that someone was quietly mocking you rather than go full stasi

Nah, I think I’ll pass. I didn’t make it obvious, but I was actually getting tired of posting stuff from that server, anyway. There are only so many times you can screenshot people getting pissy over differing opinions before it just loses its luster.
