I've been listening too death grips since they leaked the money stores instrumentals on mu, it was a very fun time where I actually felt a "connection with the band" in the same ways as older generations would subscribe to music magazines to get info etc. etc.

I'm glad death grips is dying, the fan base definitely got worse after is escaped containment with Anthony fandango.

The subreddit is full of the "generations best", I followed when they were releasing "Niggas on the moon" and I'd say around the pandemic when it went fever pitch into "meme-core".

Production wise I've always enjoyed DG, I started focusing more on Zach hills side projects and exploring different math rock. Honestly I'd rather see them not release a new record, too keep there "history" in line.

Modern concerts suck, "old man yells at cloud", "Deez Dam kids got no respek" yada yada

Death Grips was the side project to me since I found them through Zach and Hella (though I prefer DG now) I hope Andy does more stuff, I really like his production, not much like it out there

I like Cage, DG is online and dislike guillotine for ref. i think im more invested in the composition and music tho. Someone did a compilation of death grips Vocals over lisa the joyful/painful OST and its damn near perfection. I downloaded it for my morning commute

Can't say im suprised, just a little dissappinted as they're the only group i actually openly discuss liking when asked. I don't listen to much non OST music.
