Its not about being found out, but rather about the time it would take to research names and write them in the book. You could easily spend the rest of your life pulling real names and faces from social networks like facebook, twitter and linkdin. How many could you realistically write in the book in your lifetime? I mentioned it already in the Neil Breen thread, but he honestly is the only man who could direct a proper Death Note adaptation. The only difference is that he'd already have the death note at the start of the movie and there wouldn't be any characters like L opposing him. He could even reuse the ending of Fateful Findings and keep it unaltered

I don't think Light could be classified as normal and a good guy when in the beginning he kept proclaiming himself to be a god and would kill anyone who dared try to go against him that he couldn't just use.
