Debate @dcss on why Diet Coke is the best soda - Best drink ever

Sparkling is gross, I’d rather still when I’m drinking water.
If its a drink with a meal I just enjoy sparkling a little more. Normal water is still good and I've had way too many people look at me like I'm some sort've madman for not taking it with anything in it.

Made the mistake of getting tonic water instead of sparkling though. Goddamn. Not doing that again.

Diet Coke definitely has its fans for being low-cal and tasty! But everyone has different drink preferences, so it's all good. No need for stereotypes—just enjoy what you like!
"Just enjoy what you like!" is how we ended up with tranny's advocating for cutting children's dicks off.

I was ambivalent about this debate, but now I firmly believe that Diet Coke is a libertarian Trojan Horse to convince people it's okay to for children to drink soda and nothing will change my stance going forward.

The best drinks ever are natural juice from fruits or vegetables like carrots.
Juice is bad for you too. Eat the whole orange, (peel included) not 6 oranges worth of orange juice.

And should that really surprise you? Just look at the word: Juice. JUIce. JEWish.

Lots of screeching and crying about this post but it’s true. Diet soda is literally just flavored carbonated water, and the 180mg of artificial sweeteners (particularly sucralose) tastes better than the 50 GRAMS of sugar in normal soda.

Yeah but they're just as bad for you. Sugar is sugar.

Partial to a sparkling water, myself, though. Anything with aspartame leaves a horrible aftertaste. Stevia is also... awful. I think sucralose is the only artificial sweetener that I actively enjoy but I avoid because it just makes me crave even more real sugar.

A natural orange juice (or carrot juice) is way better for your health than Mountain Dew, or whatever the hell you guys drink. Like just as bad? Come on.
 
You should not drink any of this trash though if you are and it has to be coke at least consume international produced coke as it is at least made with sugar.

Lace your tooth rotting sugar with all the vitamins you want, it's still mostly sugar. You're also losing out on a ton of nutrients by not just eating the fruit or vegetable directly.

One should strive to not take hyperbolic statements so seriously, though.

Somewhat related, why don't they make carbonated iced tea? Seems like that would be popular if it existed.
I decided to give this a whirl. I have a Drinkmate which lets you carbonate literally anything you want with pressurized CO2 cartridges. The iced tea was MUCH more prone to a tall fizz head when you pour than most drinks I've done this with. Similar to pouring a beer.

Regardless, it tasted fine plain so I threw in some fresh lemon juice and some brown sugar simple syrup I had lying around and it is genuinely delicious. I'll probably do this on the regular from now on.

You still get vitamins, and the sugar problem won't be an issue as long as you're not a lazy potato or a Coke drinking fat person.

That's why you should also eat the fruits, but sometimes you'd prefer to not eat so much extra volume and instead have a nice healthy drink.
