My weirdest hangup, why I cannot fully remove myself from this despite me being fine, is there is some people that I care about that are like me that I'm just watching descend into this like horrifying invisible opium den of like VRChat and just rotting away in their room. I'm tethered by the desire to understand that. You can't explain it to anyone else without sounding like a fucking schizophrenic. But, talking to them gets this dread in my chest that's just unbearable. I'm actually a very empathetic person. I've had other friends get into actual drugs like meth or whatever and that was both easier to deal with and I had more hope for them. It's bad.

I'm not going to further engage with this point beyond making this one post. Yeah, we could break out the calipers and have 20 pages of autistic shitflinging about this, but here is my stance. Those are all very borderline images that can't even said with certainty to break Discord TOS. It's a spectrum obviously and these are firmly in the 'up to interpretation' category. Over 5 years of images those are the 3 'worst' ones and well, if that's it, it's kind of nothing? If I was into that stuff you'd probably be able to find some very unambiguous examples but I'm not, so, whatever? Yeah the Internet can severely exacerbate social disorders, I think it's just a magnifier of what was already there; if you can see that it immunizes you against that particular danger.
