In all seriousness, you should stop. You are literally helping bacteria and other dangerous stuff, that should only live on the surface, to get deeper into the meat, where the heat will have a hard time killing it.
Same with eggs. The way egg shell works, if you make it wet you're actually opening it up and pushing all the dirt from the surface into it.
Please start thinking about stuff, and the correct way to do things and why. For your own good, stop doing things just because "I've always done it and the people around me has always done it too".
