Most incarcerated pedophiles have low IQs or some sort of mental deficiency because those are the ones who get caught. US law enforcement is quite aware that there are pedophiles out there who are high IQ psychopaths and difficult to catch. There is also an entire class of sex offender called "situational child molesters" who do not exclusively prey on children and are also hard to catch.
