I wonder if this guy's issue is that he's just significantly less intelligent than the average Farmer. It's not simply his capitalization and punctuation, as I'm sure we have all seen someone that just didn't give a crap about using their Shift key, but could at least express the thoughts in their head with a reasonable level of clarity. The OP reads like it was written by someone who was trying to imitate the style of someone much smarter than him and failing miserbly.

Ironically enough, I'm reminded of how the Stern Show measured the IQs of several staff members and Bobo, with an IQ of 87, writes in a way that reminds me of Saddam:

Frankly though, Saddam might be even worse.

You could always read the grammar content on Khan Academy and just learn it the traditional way. Also, a good way to immediately improve your writing is to consistently capitalize your sentences and end them with periods when not asking questions. There's a reason that virtually everyone on the Farms does so.

I don't see the issue. Most responses in a thread are a couple of sentences, but OP should write out a dissertation on AM radio? If a thread's not interesting then don't post in it and ignore it. And it'll just die off naturally on its own. I don't think whining at someone for not making an interesting enough topic for you does anything. It's just faux elitism because he didn't write some deep dive for people.

And given some of the posts I've seen that are pretty low effort I don't see why an OP would be exempt. Or just make an area for normal, low effort threads where people want to post about whatever. Like we have a youtube music thread and the effort is just "post what youre listening to right now". I don't recall the OP needing to write a lecture on music theory, youtube's history, etc. Touch grass.

100 percent agreed this thread obviously needs alittle work but i think how multimedia does it is best just have a few images say the thing then post some links instead of needing to write an entire essays worth of OP

The opening post in a lolcow thread is like a sales pitch. You gotta convince us that the cow is funny and interesting. If you can't do that, you deserve to be called out.

That's the thing though, the topic is potentially interesting so people want to discuss it but the presentation and content is dismal so it doesn't give much to discuss. Also kiwifarms discourages spamming the same topic, so the preference is to have a topic contained into a single thread (that's why the jannies merge threads or separate posts into their own threads when it start getting off topic).
Generally (and might be the OCD talking) but it's nice to have the first post in a topic thread be informative, comprehensive and up to date. That way you can easily get the grasp of a given topic or person without having to scroll through page after page to hopefully pick up random interesting bits of information.

Think of it this way, you talk about different things and in a different way with your friends at bar then you do with your family at church. Or I certainly hope you don't tell your mom after Sunday service about this slut you fucked the other day and how you now need to go down to the clinic to be tested because you were really drunk and can't remember if you used a condom or not.
