Debate users @Lidl Drip and @Mr Bones Wild Ride on if skintight leggings are appropriate workout attire.

So thats why You wear whore gym clothes. Got it
Well yeah, if you're not a retarded slampig like Lidl then why not?

I can wear form fitting clothes to the gym because I don't have a bakers dozen of fat rolls cushioning me everywhere to protect me from meanies on the Information Super Highway.

It's not my fault she can't stand to see women that are better looking then her because they might steal her man (literally the argument she used)

Gives me troon or faggot vibes tbh

When you start to fatigue, you lose form and start using the wrong muscles to compensate.
In a compound exercises maybe but that's okay you're not trying to isolate a muscle.
If you're finishing off a muscle / muscle group then you should do an isolation exercise.

Most time just using your mind and having decent form is enough to mostly target the muscle / muscle group you want.

Just wear a t-shirt and gym (basketball) shorts like in your old school PE class. There, I split it down the middle with you. Leggings are just pyjamas, and while my monkey brain finds them sexy... come on bro. Stop attention seeking at the gym and put real clothes on.
Heck, no. My high school gym shorts were made of something that definitely would melt rather than burn even if put under a blowtorch. Awful.

a lot of people, actually. various reasons, too. personally, I don't care what a person wears, but I can still think it's trashy.
OK, but is it "moral stance-worthy" trashy?

On the gym clothes things just wear loose clothes or go to the gym when there's not to many people. I notice the skin tight stuff too but I just avert eye contact and keep doing my thing.
Don't be silly. I like you rn bc you want to take flowers to your maybe-girl, but no, women should not have to dress in loose clothes to exercise if they don't care to, nor go in off hours so as not to rile men who can't do what you do and just look elsewhere if it is distracting.

Maybe people should just mind their own business. If someone looks dumb or whatever, laugh to yourself and keep doing what you're there for.

WTF, ad fucking hominem much?
I asked you, politely, to stop shitting up the thread and stop infighting, and you lash out like this? Good luck with that.
Honey, I don't think you own this thread.

I love it when people try and speak for me or put words in my mouth I never uttered. Many such cases, unfortunately.

As with anything, there needs to be balance. I don't think women should cover up like puritans, nuns, or women In Islam but it is simply contrary to reality and human nature to suggest that extremely provocative gym thot wear is not a problem and that's it's men fault for noticing or otherwise being affected.

The bottomline is men and women are different. One example is public exposure, when a man exposes himself in public that is a very different thing then when a woman does the Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, or Amanda Seyfried did. There are other examples.

This controversy is just one way that everything will continue to go to shit until men and women recognize and discern our differnces, strengths, and weaknesses. That likely involves a return to traditional "gender roles" to some extent.
The discussion started from a man somewhere talking about how these women at the gym made him feel disloyal to his wife or some garbage, implication being these women were at fault for his inability "as a normal male" not to daydream about laying whatever woman it was out and fucking her on the gym floor. That - "these thots are responsible for my mental weakness" - is the problem.

You don't have to "approve" of a woman who may or may not be spilling out of a sports bra or wearing ass-enhancing shorts or leggings while working out (or even puposelessly walking around the lifting area in full beat in between 3-pound curls). But you (the general you) are responsible for your own reaction to a situation. And "her clothes ruined my self-control" is weak. Feel uncomfortably heated up? Look at a book or the ceiling or your own form instead of the girl. Unless she's sticking her tits (li-ter-al-ly) under your nose, you have options. Self control.

If the clothes are of a type (not bikinis nor ballgowns nor chain mail nor a meatsuit) that is made for the gym, that woman is fine.

...I fucking HATE muscle shirts, but there's a difference between thinking, "ugh, yuck, those sucked 35 years ago wtf is wrong with you no one looks good in them and ffs cut that scraggly mullet plus your Versace-clone Axe is giving me a headache and your chin-drool is disgusting so I'm going to find a different treadmill," and/vs taking some moral stance that men without taste should be banned from wearing what is colorably gym wear at a gym bc "they are so offensive I no longer feel comfortable at the gym lest my (aesthetic) sensibilities be offended."

...Or if some drip is ridiculously wearing chains and a rhinestone-encrusted fake Rolex at the gym, it would be retarded to insist that he is immoral because he is advertising false wealth and those young women who are (naturly) helplessly turned on by money will be unable to finish their elliptical rotations due to the loin-stirring distraction.

Bitch[...]clown.
Damn.

To the ugly girl in the gym built like a bag of dry dog food, this is for you. If you get in my way or any other athlete way again I’ll through your yoga mat across the gym AGAIN.

Who in their right mind stretches where ppl are suppose to lift? Don’t ever run your mouth at me again you won’t win that battle I will. Talking about it was rude that I lifted next to you while you were stretching. You need more than stretching to help that beat up body.

Run to the front desk again crying talking about you feel threaten and gonna go to social media. I really don’t care! I’ve been through worse! That’s a athletes gym not a yoga studio. That fake crying does nothing for anybody btw. Just like the guy said you live in his neighborhood and you exaggerate and overreact all the time …

So one more time don’t run your mouth and don’t do yoga stretching where ppl lift weights or I’ll snatch the mat from under you AGAIN and throw it AGAIN …

Understand? Good girl …

One more thing stop wearing sports bras when your tummy look like a old country red clay dirt road.
I mati'd you but not seriously. Have you met the What grinds your gears thread?

way too many words about skimpy gym clothing and not nearly enough pictures

i am disappoint
I posted like a dozen at the top. Don't skim.

The gym was pretty much a male safespace until 2011 ~ 2013 ish
WHAT. No it fucking wasn't. :lunacy:

why the fuck are you here
Good question, but needs refinement in scope.
Honey, I don't think you own this thread.
I never said I did.
How ironic that you would pull that card here, in a thread concerning gym attire. The gym was pretty much a male safespace until 2011 ~ 2013 ish when going to the gym suddenly became a completely normal and expected part of life and as a result became flooded with femoids, thots, and roasties who are there to run on treadmills and do stretches.

So how about it? Women ruined the gym for everyone, it was already ruined when trannies(male) came along.
Im with Dorothy and Lurker on this one and if you actually think this, you either weren’t paying attention or you weren’t going to the gym.
You had to be a special type of person if you had a gym membership in the 2000s, it definitely wasn't something that was pushed as heavily as it is today, and certainly wasn't popular with women at all. You can cope about this as much as you want.
I can prove that isn’t true.

That's an aerobics class. Lmao, aerobics was a huge fad. There isn't a single plate anywhere in that picture. Thank you for proving my point for me smoothbrain.
You: “no women went to the gym before 2013”
Me: *shows you a photo of women in the gym at aerobics class*
You: t-that doesn’t count!! Only WEIGHTLIFTING counts as going to the gym!!

Way to move the goalposts, now if you can manage 5 more reps we can call that a set.

they're in a gymnasium, though

checkmate, gymbro
Can’t wait to hear how taking part in yoga class, cardio training, step masters, HIIT, rowing machines, treadmills, isometric exercises like push-ups and crunches, barre and those aerobics class with the wee hand weights, playing basketball and volleyball, among many other activities commonly offered at gyms also do not count as “going to the gym”.

We've seen your photos

We know you don't do any of these activities so we can safely say you don't "go to the gym"

Aerobics was total bullshit, the fact that women only cared about going there because of some complete horseshit they saw on TV that was popular actually supports my claim, not yours.

Yes, it only counts if it's a weightlifting gym. When we talk about "going to the gym", it is assumed you are talking about a weightlifting gym, not a boxing gym or some other type of gym. Yes?

Most of those literally don't, thought. Do you actually tell people you went to the gym when you went to play basketball? You're more pedantic than a redditor and have about the same level of intelligence as one.

all that matters is pumping iron and having gay sex with your bros in your male safespace gym

if it's not lifting weights or having gay sex with your bros, it's not 'going to the gym'

You need to have your pussy smashed
And

You need to smash Le Pussy
You're going full yenta, I see.

Eta: I -a normal woman - have been going to "real" gyms and doing "real gym" stuff since the 80s. And it was never weird or unusual - what century are you in? Where the fuck else are you supposed to work out with weights and machines?

Are you old enough to be posting here?

Who cares about what people are dressed like when my eyes are staunchly affixed to the floor, ceiling, weights and machines?
what if someone walks into your line of sight?

does it cause some kind of existential crisis?

They pass by my sight like a falling leaf passes by during a walk in the Fall. Exertion of the muscle and mind is the focus, people walking by are but momentary visuals not befit of cognitive motion.
