Honestly, I'm surprised the Russians fucked up that particular design aspect so badly; although why is not so surprising anymore. It's just.... of all the lessons from their Great Patriotic War, this should've been one of the most obvious & easiest to implement. It's almost like that part of T-72 was explicitly designed for parade grounds, ranges, and paved (i.e. European) hardball, by someone who never saw tanks stuck in mud, before they were ordered to design it.

Honestly as long as the USSR wasn't planning to attack anything, it was better to have 30 tanks in a depo that couldn't actually do shit than 3 tanks who would tear ass up in the field. NATO wasn't going to do anything, especially when you have a lot of armor on the books. Only an issue if you intend to use it.

An echo chamber how? The only echo chamber here is the Vatnigger cope thread. All the posts I have seen here seem to deal with the reality of the situation. That Russia is losing and losing hard. Last I checked Bakhmut is not gone. I don't think anyone has taken it completely from what I heard. Though I don't follow all the small battles and things like that. I look at the bigger picture. Russia has been pushed back to what it controlled in 2014. Russia wanted to take Kiev and topple the Ukrainian government. But they failed to do this meaning they lost. At the pace Russia is moving now they will get to Kiev just in time for space travel. meaning that shit isn't going to ever happen. I don't sit around and watch Russia's snail pace movements. As far I am concerned Russia had their chance and they blew it big time.
