There is no left and right. There are people who believe the man on their TV and people who don't.

People with actual political power and influence. "Diversity, equity and inclusion" are the values promoted by the elites, so status seekers will adopt them to ascend socially especially if they depend on the approval and acceptance of others. I know you're being lighthearted here, but others do throw this around as if it's a reason to let insanity be the rule. From what I can see, more innocent people have been harmed by this excuse than saved by it.

Sanity would be to make exceptions for the exceptions, not to be brow beaten into adopting norms that only function well in exceptional cases. And that's being generous given the concept of man as an individual is ass backwards, especially when applied across racial boundaries.
