I've got a bit of a theory why he dislikes non artists favoriting his stuff so much. Perhaps he knows his art is shit and his only way to gain validation that's its not shit is for other, much better artists to like it. If non artists like it then he won't feel good about his craft.

I also thought that he might want popular artists to look at his stuff more so he'd get attention from their fans, but not even Deceptihog could be THAT stupid.

That's entirely possible. It may be that since they're non-artists, what could they possibly know about how "good" an artwork is, therefore their opinion is invalid, or has negative value. Or something like that. I don't think it necessarily needs to be a "better" artist though. At least not from what I've seen.
 
I think it's more along the lines of everything was all hunky-dory in his little world of friends; they all patted each others asses, licked each others wounds and fed each others weird little fetishes. Now they're exposed, a raw wound...and we're there rubbing in the salt.

I don't know what's worse, the "STOP FAVORITING MY CRAP YOU NON-ARTIST!" behavior, or his current "Try to act nice while still bitching about shit no one cares about" attitude.

I dunno, if he does that might take a while because it appears since he discovered the farms that he's more or less been in a state of absolute psychological paralysis. For once he's actually having to contemplate the consequences of any and ALL actions he takes from this point out!

This would have not had happened had Deceptihog001 is not hostile to some dA members when they fave what he had uploaded. He now has to reap what he had sowed.
