I think it's the other way around, where people who draw shitty Sonic OCs often wind up being lolcows. Something about Sonic just seems to attract retards who lack any sort of self awareness. There's also a big overlap with the furry community. Those two groups are hotbeds of internal and external drama and will argue and yell at anyone who stirs up shit. Put all those together, and you have a perfect storm of autism.
Our good friend Deceptihog is also a diehard Transformers fan, another group infamous for its large number of easily-triggered manchildren.
At least the 'Hog actually draws his stuff, however shitty it may be. I've seen DA users just upload screencaps of OCs they made in doll creator games.

That's about the only thing you can give the guy. And even then, it looks like some of the shit he makes may have been traced from somewhere. It's just that with his shitty art skills, it's hard to tell.

Granted, 'Hog has all but admitted to using bases for a lot of his stuff, mostly his Naga Rouge art. But at least the facial expressions and snake pussy parts he draws on his own.
On that note, what the hell is up with this guy and snake people? I doubt he'd give an answer beyond "Naga are just so cool!"
It's so out of the blue, and it does do a good job of distinguishing him from other Sonic-obsessed DA spergs.

To be fair you listed a basic criteria for just about any Artcow. Dobson is just probably our most famous example (except maybe Chris, but he completely transcends single labels).
Being mad at critics isn't really a unique trait for DA spergs. But 'Hog is unique because of his distinct contempt for people who don't create art. Dobbers doesn't share that mindset, he only expresses anger towards critics and anyone who could remotely be considered politically conservative (in the US sense). Which highlights another difference: Decptihog seems to be pretty apolitical. Of course, he has a massive library of crap, so it's possible a gem might be hiding there.
However a quick browse through the 'Hog's favorites will show the viewer a few pieces of lesbian slash art, so he probably doesn't disapprove of homosexuality as long as he can fap to it. So he is like Dobbers in that regard. Of course you'll also find a shitload of softcore furry erotica. Make of that what you will.
