Am I hallucinating or do you have to go through a bathroom to access the other half of the house?

yep lol. I actually like the floorplan. it's like one big long spiral-shell hallway. That's why I put some sort of explosive trap in that bathroom, to crumble in whatever heavy objects you decide to place in the attic above and seal off the rear-end of the house containing the armory (blue bedroom), last stand/panic/suicide room (isolated armory bathroom), and escape hatch in the master bedroom. If you end up escaping through the master bedroom you can either run (boring) or sneak back through the front entrance to ambush the invaders.

I actually like the layout aside from the passage bathroom. It's like you have a guests living room in front, then family and friends living room in the bonus room before the bedrooms. It's like a small castle keep.

In keeping with the theme, you need a moat a couple of meters deep and a drawbridge and portcullis. The "outdoor bar" part can be where the bridge lowers to, then allowing you to walk across the south wall to the entrance way. Dot some murder holes you can stab/shoot through along here also. Roof access and crenellations are a must, a ladder + hatch or even a spiral staircase to the roof could replace the passage bathroom.

The garage could be adapted for long term food storage in the event of siege.

Realistically, the walls of a north American house are usually about an inch thick at most with half inch plywood and maybe half inch siding on the outside. They also burn extremely quickly, especially if they have vinyl or cedar siding. With a few tools, any point on that house could be a possible attack vector.
