The OP says 2020/2021 as the date when Ryan Sanchez (Culture War Criminal/CWC) left, when I'm pretty sure it happened primarily in 2021.
I remember him officially becoming a Nick critic after the J6 fallout because of the apathy AF leadership showed towards the plight of groyper detainees.
In particular, there were several guys who Sanchez knew personally from the SoCal AF scene who had shown up at the Capitol rally because of Nick's involvement with it, and were prosecuted for taking part in the mass trespassing incident that followed. Despite these guys basically losing everything for their leader, Nick did fuck all to help them or their families (according to Sanchez) and basically left them out to dry.
IIRC that was the main incident that led to CWC permanently cutting ties with AF, which was actually a pretty big loss for the latter.
Sanchez seemed like one of the most serious and disciplined people in the AmNat scene at the time. The sort of guy who could steer it away from terminally-online incel zoomer culture and towards disciplined, serious activism and community-building. Him leaving was a pretty big inflection point in the movement's trajectory (perhaps degeneration would be a better term) and a major factor in it becoming the way it is today
