Feedback Delete Events & News

  • 🔧 Actively working on site again.
Yeah... I was wondering what happened. To be honest, worrying and complaining about the future isn't fun (something I'm guilty of doing, by the way.)... Nor is it what this site is usually used for, so it makes sense it's gone for now.

I did like the board and was proud to read up on shit thanks to it, regardless, so... Rest in Piss, E/N.

Now I can no longer see articles being posted like fat Ben who can't drink without a certain sippy cup and shit raining from indian planes. I have to look for them somewhere else now.

How about remove Deep Thoughts instead? It's probably the most cringiest subforum here, and bring back Events & News but delete political news on sight or have a containment subforum for it?
 
I really liked e&n. I know I could go to other news sites but I don't want to, this was the only site I felt I got occasionally unbiased news or at least more than one side of the story. and yes some people here are actually insightful. I wouldn't know anything about the migrant crisis or so many other things if I didn't read about it here. every other news site is either "migrants are the greatest! save the children! " or just flat out hate muslims like breitbart. KF tended toward the latter, but despite that there was still some reasonable discussion.
However KF becoming /pol/ lite is pretty cringy and not a good direction for the site to go imo. I think any time a non-political site gets overrun with a certain kind of politics, it's bad news. usually this happens with SJWs but it could happen with any ideology I suppose.

Can we make it like Phil board where you need permission to access it and it will be out of view of retards who are too triggered by it to so much as see it on the forum list?

As lovely as this all sounds - KF isn't the place that's best for politics, even if this idea sounds decent enough.

What are you talking about? It was literally the place where /pol/ could debate Tumblr in the same space to the point people would petition mods to ban people from threads. That's a level of discourse not seen on the internet since 2006. It was like safe space bubbles intersecting in an multiple alternate dimensions. Although I spose Null would be worried it might cause some sort of antimatter singularity inside his servers.

The problem is that the number of users on any given message board who are smart enough to competently moderate it but dumb enough to do a shitty, boring, thankless job for free is extremely small, and so usually you get the internet equivalent of mall cops who will do anything for a tiny taste of authority (the comparison only half-works because mall cops actually get paid but you get the idea).

And I mean even if you want to ban political news from E/N I have stories about

- a video of a man sucker-punching a kangaroo in the face while he was fighting his dog
- a man with a bionic penis who can't keep up with the number of women who wanna bang
- Fidel castro's hearse broke down while driving to the cemetery
- Australia just released a tranny prostitute with AIDS and told him he could keep tricking but made him pinkie swear everyone will wear condoms

The farms can't live without these stories.
