It is indeed alienating as hell to wake up to how insane the Democrat agenda is.

The Democrats stand for systemically dismantling the United States of America and rebuilding it into something alien and openly hostile to what it once was.

The Republicans, for all their faults, at least stand for the USA as it was created by our Founding Fathers.

Let's put this in perspective.

Democrat Party members are backing an executive and legislative agenda tailored to take away rights and traditional freedoms associated with communities, jobs, healthcare, the economy, culture, defense and the Constitution. They want more censorship, more regulation of business, more regulation of firearms, more international coordination, more offshoring of jobs, more taxes on individuals, more limitations on freedom of movement, more disarmament, more changes to cultural norms.

From 2019 - 2020, Democrats have given this amount of money (according to Open Secrets):

- POTUS: $2,311,161,614
- House Races: $481,354,418
- Senate Races: $272,652,501

That's $3 Billion dollars on a platform designed to take away rights. What do they get in exchange? A feel-good vision of the future.

These people are all Simps. Plain and simple.

How many of them even buy into that anymore though? How many of them know deep down inside that the end result of their policies will be turning America into a third world country but they're ok with that solely to spite white conservatives?

A decade ago it was easy to believe in their feel-good vision of the future, I was a believer in it, but then reality came crashing down and I went "wait a minute" and changed my tune.

I have a hard time believing anyone could be naive enough not to know what's going on here, but they're just hateful and evil enough to want to fuck everything up just so they can say the other side doesn't win, it's pure nihilistic spite.

They're either that or delusional to the point of mental illness.

I wish that they had been right, that the dream of a completely multiracial and multicultural world living in peaceful harmony could have come true, but it didn't and the dream has become a nightmare and it's insane to me that anyone would stick with it out of spite instead of having the backbone to face reality and admit when you're wrong.

Because the most egregious abuses of power have come from Democrats (e.g., New York, Michigan, California). But you're right in that regard- politicians go into the profession because they want power, regardless if which party they belong to.

Politicians as a whole (in the case of U.S. politicians, I’m assuming) are simps to the government.

I don’t like to have the “both sides are bad” argument, but I fear we get distracted by simple labeling things “Democrat” and “Republican”, while not being straightforward about the issues that we have with government.

Honestly, this is why I don't see any utility in "debating" neoliberals, and haven't in about a decade. If I'm in an argument with, say, a gun-grabber, I just call them what they are, a liar. You're not looking for "common sense" gun control, and you're not "just trying to make it a little bit harder for criminals to get their hands on guns". Your end goal is the piecemeal destruction of the Second Amendment. You won't be satisfied until that goal is achieved, and thus, you are a liar. This line of thought applies to "anti-fascist/racist/sexist/homophobic action". The end goal is the destruction of the First Amendment, using flimsy justifications for legislation that would be difficult to enforce, but broadly encompassing enough to snag any detractor to the liberal or leftist narrative, as it becomes convenient to do so.
