The billions of fans thing was just his equivalent of taking a crayon and writing "super duper a lot" on the questionnaire. I don't think he ever seriously tried to pretend that the planet's entire English-speaking population read Sonichu. If you asked him to even read that number back to you in words, he couldn't.
Yeah, this.

Chris doesn't know what a billion is.

Chris must've realized by now that Sonichu ain't worth the trouble. He has stated time and again over recent years that the trouble "trolls" give him has killed his creativity. For all intents and purposes, Sonichu is dead.

As for things like his :briefs:, changing himself is too much trouble. Better to throw up one's hands, give up, and go on shitting your pants than to try and be a better man.

I tried reading through Sonichu, and it was probably one of the most disturbing things that I have ever read, as a man-child tries to live out his fantasies of power and control vicariously through his comics. It's a separate reality that he chooses to escape to because nobody can harm him.

You know I'm more sad about this than I'd care to admit.

Or so he thought, anyway. :asperchu:

Once again, reality walked up to Chris, raised his hand, and pimp slapped the shit out of Chris.

It's kind of interesting, since that's a pretty common behavior for actual children. They attempt to gain control over a situation by writing or drawing a fictitious version of events where things work out positively for them. Of course, the key word here is "children". Part of growing up is realizing that you can't live in a fantasy world, and that being proactive in reality is far more beneficial to you than living out an escapist daydream. The fact that Chris still did this until very recently is a good indicator that he never really grew up (to absolutely no one's surprise).
