Depressed at the Chat bot proliferation

Before watching this video, I remember Null told us and I also had the suspicion that places like 4chan, etc. were just bots flinging at each other with the rare human dropping by. I didn't think it was that easy to replicate.

The point is, as a "real user" of some chat places, every time I find out that it is easy to flood the places with near realistic chatbots, I don't feel like using that place anymore (not like I was using things like 4chan much, but still). It fucking sucks that if you want to have a discussion with a human, you get "algorithmed and randomly assigned words" to your context words. It is quite literally the death of speech. There is no real receptor.

I don't know how this shit is curved at KF, but I imagine many users here might be actually stand-in chatbots. I don't know if anything can be done about that, and it's just kind of depressing. Anyway, I guess it's back to face talk if you want %100 guarantee that you are not chatting bots. But I feel that if there's not a way to curve this, it may be the death of places like this as people realize there are truly no humans left.

If you can't tell then there's no difference. People regurgitate other people's opinions, repeat other people's jokes, and repost other people's memes. The average internet user is already a biological chat bot and has been for some time.

So what, it's superior if people are just fucking retards who write like robots and have the opinions of robots instead of literally being robots?

If you're spending your time in contexts where it's even possible for AIs to come in and start replacing people without anyone noticing, and that bothers you, perhaps its wise to re-examine why you're participating to begin with.

You've got a point. I never used pol or that shit. I barely use /k just for updates on the Ukraine war. But what bothers me is that if I'm ever going to waste neuron juice to add value to a community (by existing as a human) it feels kind of bullshit that you are doing the equivalent of yelling into the void. These days, bots are not so good that they completely replace human cognition, but they do accomplish the role of shitting up the place with post volume that's often redundant, straight up wrong and unfunny (And we already have too many humans doing the same).

Not going to say you are wrong, though some of us do like to exercise our creativity and depth of thought from time to time.

If there's one thing these chatbots have done truly it is introduce the concept of metaphysical solipsism to a whole new audience.
