Law Derek Chauvin's badge will be destroyed and no cop will have number 1087 again

Derek Chauvin's police badge will be destroyed, and his badge number — 1087 — will never be assigned to another Minneapolis police officer, officials said Thursday.

Chauvin, the former cop serving a sentence of more than 22 years for the 2020 murder of George Floyd, returned to the public psyche Thursday after the City Council approved settlements of two lawsuits against Chauvin stemming from incidents three years before he encountered Floyd.

In both 2017 incidents, police body cameras captured Chauvin kneeling on the neck of an unarmed person — images hauntingly similar to how he killed Floyd.

The settlement, combined with the anticipated release of the footage from each 2017 arrest, provided the occasion for Mayor Jacob Frey and Police Chief Brian O'Hara to announce what Frey called a "symbolic but important" attempt to purge the city of Chauvin's legacy.

"The Minneapolis police has a tradition to recycle the badge numbers that are no longer assigned to a current officer," O'Hara said at a news conference following approval of the settlements. "This badge, betrayed and so egregiously dishonored, will be destroyed, and the badge number permanently removed from our rosters so that no future Minneapolis police officer should have to wear it."

The NFL isn't the only nigger worship in sports. People go absolutely apeshit for basketball and college football here.
I think for a lot of them, they just love the sports themselves and it's incidental that those sports are rife with blacks (and racial politics). Although I love baseball, I stopped watching MLB cold turkey after they started the hardcore pandering and haven't wavered, but I've known plenty of normie conservatives who slowly went back to their pro sport of choice just because they like the game. They choose to simply look past all the recent bullshit that's infected it. They might be able to, but for the most part, I can't.

Literally the first thought in my mind was, Jackie Robinson, and how they retired his jersey number. Retire his badge number? That’s not a insult you idiot! That was a honor they gave to Jackie Robison who was the first black baseball playerrrrrr!!!!!!!!! I don’t understand this! Retire his number? How about not giving his number any power. All they had to do was just not talk about his badge number and nobody would have even thought anything of it. Making me think about his badge number being retired just makes me think of Jackie Robison.

WTF does destorying a badge do? LOL, what is this the Roman Empire now, we gotta do literal damnatio. What a bunch of mental midgets.
At least all they did was lock him up instead of going full judge dredd and forcing him to take the long walk into detroit or chicago hoodrat territory

So did they burn the badge and if so did it do the same thing as homers underwear?

Legends say that should someone claim all the pieces and reassemble it, the holy order of the IRS will be doomed...
Sounds like the plot of castlevania 2. Someone needs to make a parody version where you do that

It's a bit of metal, it's not fucking possessed by evil sorcery that makes you kill black people like it came from needful things
They're afraid that his badge is like a magic stone from a shonen anime. It will imbue the holder with the ability to kill black people by kneeling on them.
I wish Raja Mohan hadn't kicked the topical jojo video off youtube.
Spoiler: the video I was referring to, ripped off bitchute.

Saint Fentynl died of an OD and not one cop or union stood up for Chauvin. He was thrown into the trash by his own. Then cops around the country lean down on one knee like Chauvin did, which was tone deaf as hell or a quiet inside joke.

Color revolutions are fake and gay.

Why stop there? Bulldoze his house. Take his wife and burn her at the stake. Find his old school yearbooks and remove all mention of him. Go to the graveyard where his family are buried, dig it up, throw the skeletons into the river. Find the hospital he was born in and convert it to a black youth center.

You say that as a joke, but... I could honestly see these maniacs doing that one of these days. Seriously, I know I just repeating an old joke, but it's a literal cult at this point; they really are putting a druggie up on a pedestal and calling him a saint for the sake of "muh rascism".

Christ, all these accusations of racism flying around makes actual racist ideologies look good. And... that's just a bit depressing.

I read enough excerpts from the book about George Floyd to suspect that the authors got real blackpilled writing the thing.

To wit, their account of what Floyd did on the last day of his life (spend the day doing drugs) was totally at odds with what was said during the trial.

I don't know how Chauvin's lawyer didn't subpoena Floyd's "friend" who spent the day doing drugs with him.

I wonder how many peopled died of fentanyl ODs and murder while the process to do this was undertaken.

Holy shit...what a faggot.

Are you sure about that? Give Chauvin a vest and a few spare mags and he'd probably welcome the chance to take some criminals with him. His life was already over the minute the jury read the verdict against him.

Maybe on the anniversary every year they'll make all of the cops in the country wear it like MLB and Jackie Robinson's number.

Which honestly, there are like five Black non-Hispanic Americans in baseball now yet they still pander. They should be doing that with Ichiro or Dave Concepción's number.

The autopsy: He died of fentanyl and COVID-19, though putting a knee on his neck did not slow his death.

The judge: He's probably gonna win his appeal, but only after this all blows over with the next dumb incident.
Wait, did the Judge say that?
