Actually, considering we're talking about Desmond's future...
I honestly think a bunch of disillusioned gay/"gay" kids will follow in Milo's footsteps of going super conservative because it's the most surefire way to really, really, piss off their parents and everyone associated with them.
This is especially now that American conservatism, as a whole, is more likely to be welcoming LGBT people into the fold. Hell, there are even gays in groups like the Proud Boys.
What's more interesting is that Milo was also sexually abused as a child. If Desmond lives through all of this, his becoming Milo 2.0 wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Milo mentioned before he at some point moved to live with his grandmother, who was very much into gay and club culture and had gay friends. If this happened when Milo was in his late teen years, then it was the 90s, which is the same era Piggylou is obsessed about. Odd.

I personally don't think a lot of young gay people will go full tard and go "alt right". I think they'll go back to "straight acting" but not exactly be "closeted" . They won't be interested in covering themselves in fucking rainbow stickers and making it the centerpiece of their identity. If anything, this sort of thing will make young gays more ashamed of their sexuality, and it will eventually really destroy the community (or what's left of it). For a dash of optimism (just for shits n' gigs), maybe this will lead to the younger generation speaking out about how this is actually a bunch of fucked up, usually "cis", usually straight people co-opting/LARPing as gay, and how incredibly homophobic it really is. They'll initially be met with loads (heh) of backlash, but it has the potential to start a conversation about how ridiculous this has all gotten.
Milo is a twat, but he has confidence in his little beliefs, can read a book, speak a coherent sentence, and develop his own theories on things. I don't see Desmond going in that direction at all.
God help us all if Desmond grows up to be a furry. How much time do you think Desmond spends sitting still to have his make up done and photos taken? Does he ever get free time to just be a kid? Even his photos on the beach were staged for social media -- not just a mom taking a photo of her kid at the beach. I've yet to see an actual candid of Desmond just being a normal kid.
Remembering back to that age, I sometimes had to let my mother comb out my hair (because I would do a half ass job of it and get tangles in my long hair) and just the 15 minutes it would take seemed like an eternity to me. I can't imagine having full make up and fake eyelashes at his age and having to pose for a million different photos. Even kids that love attention wouldn't like it to become a full time job.

Given how shitty his makeup looks, the faded hair dye, etc, I doubt they actually spend that much time on it. Some of the photos she uploads are blurry, obviously taken with a shaky phone instead of an actual camera. You can take decent pictures with a phone, but one would still need to learn some basic skills about lighting, and angles--- those things can make a huge difference. Decent photos can be taken with minimal (or almost devoid of) professional equipment, but it requires a blend of time and effort that clearly isn't put forth here. And it's also so obvious he's not taking/setting up these things himself, it would be more forgivable if this really was a kid with a legit interest in drag/costuming/makeup/photography.
Either that or Pigface is a mummy dearest type and he probably doesn't have much free time. You never see ANY pictures of him with other kids (even with blurred faces). What about his "youth drag haus" The Haus of Amazing? Surely that's a "real thing", right, Piggy? Heh.

I never got why so many people think Desmond is ugly, tbh. He just looks really tired and emaciated to me. Get him a sandwich, wash out the horrific makeup, and get him out of those degenerate clothes and I guarantee you he'll actually look like a normal, living human child.

Because look at the genetic material he had to work with. There is no way he has a shot at being attractive. It is possible though to think that kids are cute even if they are objectively ugly because we aren't looking at them the same way we would an adult. They can have a cute laugh or an adorable personality or just say the darndest things and that makes them cute to us. His looks don't matter in the least at this age except that he is in the "entertainment" biz and looks are very important in that line of work. Once he's no longer the child drag queen, he won't last because he isn't good looking or talented enough to make it an actual career. Which wouldn't be a big deal because he's earned enough to have a nice college fund to move on to the next dream -- if only his parents hadn't been lazy fucks who sit around all day while their kid dances for pervs to make money.
