WELL SHIEET MISSA SNOWDUNES.
adam jensen dude sex was alright but it was plagued with the fact that it was a prequel but i don't blame eidos after invisible war reception.

based and chinkpilled, i prefer the oceanlab one though.
For me, it's Versalife. Instant favorite the first time I heard it.

I find funny how this specific uploader threw a shitfit over "le heckin' -istics in my videos im removing all ur hate speech! :smug:" once :story:

Fighting words coming from a reuploader.

One of the greatest strengths of the DX soundtrack was the remixes we received. I have a whole playlist of these.

fucking goy, can't even name the jews now.
anyway here's a classic.

I'm partial to the conversation themes in DX1, especially the later ones. UNATCO, of course its convo theme would be amazing to match probably the single best-known ambient track in the game or even the entire series, it's exactly what I would want to hear when conversing with my co-workers & superiors at a powerful, superficially good but shady futuristic agency. The Paris convo theme sounds like the closest cyberpunk/techno-dystopian approximation to a track out of a medieval fantasy game where the world's been pushed to the brink & the peasants are crying out for a hero to save them (which is pretty much the absolute state of the DX world by the time you get to Paris). And Area 51's theme does a great job at reinforcing the feeling that, as Paul/Dr. Savage pretty much spell out to you in their final conversation, the fate of the planet really does hang on your shoulders at that point.

The game itself aside, one of the things that impress me most about the DX1 modding scene (besides their insane passion & persistence in developing these mods, long after DX itself had been released and even Ion Storm had gone out of business) is their OSTs. These are way better than I would ever expect of community mods made by unpaid fans. For example, the Moscow tracks from 2027 (a mod made by Russians, though they were kind enough to also translate it into English), very atmospheric & fitting considering those hubs are dark, rainy/snowy & crawling with hostile Russian military police:

Or Nameless Mod, its whole OST is full of bangers, but I particularly like the music in the last couple levels, far better than could be reasonably expected of a mod with such a silly premise. The composers really brought their A-game at the end there.

Incredibly at least one of said composers, Steve Foxon, was still actively making music as late as 2021. He had been such a prolific member of the DX community back in the day (IIRC he was also the composer for Zodiac, the older Paul Denton mod), and must've impressed even the staff working on the official prequels at Eidos with his various modding endeavors, that he got referenced in Human Revolution.

If anybody wants a short and well written deus ex clone try out Consortium.

These guys have been trying to get a bigger budget sequel off the ground and I really want em to succeed. If you like the game, they just released a visual novel prequel, and they have a VR port as well. The lore is well written and I like that you can spend a decent chunk of time just searching for info on you computer. In addition to a free novella with the steam release that details the storyline of an ARG reality game they did.

it seems that dude sex is slowly getting back on the algorithm or it's just my recommended feed algorithm but have this video as the TRVE AND HONEST theme of the current Jeet Ex Demastered.

I don't know if this is well known or even known at all, but I took a look at people who worked on Deus Ex because of the writing and truth nukes in the game and found out that Warren Spector, the director of Deus Ex, is Jewish. I also learned that Austin Grossman one of the writers for the game is also Jewish. Grossman's mother Judith wrote "How Aliens Think: Stories by Judith Grossman" this is a piece of the excerpt from the amazon store page:
"Meet, for example, Clara Diamant, "a rising academic star in her early thirties," who seems a model of innocence while studying and espousing postmodern theories of perversion. Or Robby, whose love for a young boy dying of tuberculosis is viewed through the uncomprehending and yet uncannily suspicious eyes of his wife. There is also the narrator of "A Wave of the Hand," who gradually comes to realize that her father is a woman. (She takes this bit of news remarkably well.)"

They fixed it.
Anything else I should know about that port? I've been meaning to go back to SR, I was hoping I wouldn't need to bust out an emulator with a modern remaster out. I mean, Tomb Raider remasters are fine, that was also Crystal Dynamics.

It is acceptable, I would say it is a bit better than stuff like Soul Fixer. SR1 had much more work done on it than SR2.

Can also use the SRX mod for more QoL.

Spector didn't have much to do with the writing and Grossman was IIRC one of the two writing contractors, responsible for the NPC barks and a little editing but none of the story & conversations. That would have been the job of Sheldon Pacotti, the lead writer, who wrote 8,500 out of the approx. 10,000 lines of dialogue in DX (Grossman wrote about 1,000 lines for comparison).

Pacotti, as far as I know, is not Jewish. Then again, virtually nothing is known about him, as IIRC he never seemed to give out any personal details (much less anything that could've fit into an Early Life section) in any of the few interviews he did over the years. This absolute prophet of God did return to write DXIW's main plotline but pretty much fell off the face of the Earth afterward - certainly he wasn't brought back as a writer or even a consultant on the Adam Jensen games - and I've heard from time to time that he's a professional writer but haven't been able to read anything else he wrote. He was still alive at least 10 years ago, since he showed up to play & comment on DX1 alongside Spector and Chris Norden (one of the programmers) back in 2015, but that & his brief appearance as a minor NPC in Nameless Mod (developed 2002-09, so he must've made his small contribution of voiced lines to it sometime in the mid-2000s) are all that I've heard & seen of him outside of DX1 itself.

What difficulty are you on?
Just playing on normal. Did a little more research after making that post, apparently GMDX makes some changes to things like item placement and hacking (you can no longer hack everything with just "Trained", there's hard skill checks for hacking now) that I must have missed reading about. Going to stick to it because it's nice that I have to consider when to lockpick now, but I wish I'd gone with VanillaFixer instead.

You would think that they would fix Soul Reaver 2 so that it has actual gameplay now. Story was fine, but all you did was run from one story location to the other and you didn't even have any incentive to fight enemies if you didn't want to most of the time. Re-building the game so that it is more open ended like SR1 might be more in the remake territory but at least then the game would be worth re-playing. They need to do the same for Blood Omen 2, as is the game is very mid, one of the most unnecessary sequels of all time considering that it barely even contributes to the story or setting. What you need to know for the last game from BO2 can be summarized in a two sentences, which is pretty sad.

Imho if anything actually needs a remake, and a good one (it'll never happen) it'd be the original Blood Omen.

I think you can get by with the lockpicking and hacking. Remember there's ways to break into certain rooms/areas without actually needing to expend picks/multitools.
