Deus Ex Franchise - Immersive Sims

Not sure if its been posted in this thread yet but some months back a GMDX remaster/update got released with a whole bunch of new stuff seems pretty cool undoubtedly better than revision at this point.

I noticed when Revision started to gain traction that GMDX seemed to roll back some of its more interventionist plans and focused on just being the base game with some quality of life stuff. I hope they never change that ethos. Screw around with perks all you want, but don't ruin the level design or item placement unless it's in a specific randomiser mode.

It sounds dumb but I think the coolest change in that trailer is datacubes showing their images when read. Hardly anybody remembers or can be bothered to check the menu right away when an image is added, so it would add some immersion to see it immediately in the location it was placed, The hotbar remembering item positions, full screen drone controls, decline item list, and a select wheel for augs are also useful and would probably improve moment to moment gameplay a lot.

Does anybody know if there's been any movement on remaking Invisible War in the Deus Ex engine? The only mod even close to hinting at doing that back in the day went dormant when the person making it went to jail.

It occurred to me that last Saturday we saw a man named Gunther choke out a man named John Cena.

I got bored and tried to sculpt what I thought the Assault Rifle might look like if it didn't have to be a cube for inventory reasons.

DO NOT REDEEM THE ASS RIFLE SAARS, looks nice for the squaredyness of DX.

also i did a playthrough of DXHR again, didn't have the old adage achievement but damn i know why i stopped playing that fucking game, the forced missing link DLC is hell, especially since they don't clear your aug points in NG+, i tried leaving the boat without picking my stuff again and i only lost my equipment, got slapped with 80 praxis points because of NG+ reruns on omega ranch, FUCK :lossmanjack:

also i've been thinking on doing a rerun on DXMD and checking out breach but from what i can gather DX:Breach is some freemium shit, ew.

breach is a waste of time. a criminal past is (can be) a better version of the missing link. i've come back to the game a couple of times over the years but usually quit sometime after golem city. game peaked there.

Sascha Dikiciyan just released some of the music that didn't make the cut into MD's OST a few hours ago that includes some in-game level music, cutscenes and even discarded composition sketches that weren't included in the game at all in varying degrees of completition (Some unmixed, some others unmastered and some that are plain incomplete). Albeit this is a drop in bucket compared to what's left of the in-game soundtrack to receive a proper release, the fact that some of the cutscene music can now be properly be enjoyed without the SFX and foley is nice.

He's said that he's open to make more releases of this if there's enough public interest, albeit the terms of use in his bandcamp are rather excessive (no reposting nor remixing of any kind), he justifies it by saying that he got fed up with fan reuploads not crediting him properly.

He released volume 2: Fragments of the Machine [Data Archive Vol.2]

i listened to it.
already forgot the songs and my brain replaced them with synapse...
i'm sorry mein dude but background music will always be outweighed by themed songs, every time, i can't remember a single song of DXHR either and i played the fucking thing last thrusday, meanwhile DX1:

and i'm bopping my head to the synapse and area51 music.

This part of the game made me chuckle back when I played it in 2013 but holy shit, this is sending my sides into the orbit nowadays. lmao Imagine the coping, seething and dilating this would've caused if this game came out today, cancelling would ensue and Eidos plus Square Enix would bow down and kiss tranny ass as an apology..... oh and remove/censor this part of the conversation in the next patch.

Best part is that according to dev commentary, Pritchard's VA didn't think that they would actually add that line in, which checks out considering he's Canadian. Also given that Eidos is based on the rather raging leftist zone of Montreal, it's very possible that they wouldn't even consider adding this moment in out of fear of being seen as against the "cause" if it released in modern times.
