The only practical use for it is tor translate words, which isn't very useful seeing how learning a foreign language is more than just translating a bunch of words. Ironic seeing how the program seems to translate word for word. Unfortunately, many ESL DA users don't seem to get the hint and resort to that instead.

That, and when not even a skilled ESL person can understand what these people are saying in english, they know that they're majorly fucked up.

The way they keep repeating the same thing over and over again makes me think lower functioning autism has a big part of it. It reminds me of the way Erik Mokracek types, Erik being another user on DA with lower functioning autism. And Erik is a native English speaker to boot, so it's not just Google Translate failing to properly phrase the description.

The Art Academy games are a nice idea in theory, but in reality before Miiverse was shut down it was wall to wall all these terrible drawings that had nothing to do with the games the people were using. Hell, it was obvious they weren't even attempting to use the techniques taught in the games. They just want to use the 3DS as a tiny tablet for the shit they're interested in without actually trying to improve.

Because enjoyment of both western cartoons and Anime are mutually exclusive. And I love how they go out of their way to grab some of the silliest children's cartoons for their examples; their bias is showing.
They're showing their age (and I guess I am too), because many of those cartoons were made around the turn of the century- either shortly before, or shortly after- and all of them are geared towards kids. There are other cartoons they could have used: Motorcity, Samurai Jack, Batman Beyond... heck, if you're allowed to use cartoons geared towards adults, you could use King of the Hill or Moonbeam City as examples of Western animation.
