I remember in Luigi's mansion there's a morbidly obese ghost that spends all day eating, so I guess in the Mario world it's possible. Now that I think about it I'm surprised there's no weird fetish art of that ghost, since I've seen some of more obscure characters.

Probably because 99% of fat fetishists are men and that particular ghost wasn't a chick.
