Especially since most (if not all) of them are just redrawn versions of Matt Groening's characters from his comic strip "Life in Hell".

That doesn't really answer my question. I mean, is this overblown hatred for new Nickelodeon over classic Nickelodeon a case of a bunch of immature adults fearing change and clinging to their childhoods as tightly as possible or is it just trendy to bash Nickelodeon because you're not of age to enjoy the shows anymore? I'm guessing the former.

Little bit of both, probably. Some of the people doing it may be bandwagoning since they know it's a good way to get views from the manchildren, just following the trend even though they don't really care too much.

I'd wager that it is a half-joke. There's a whole lot more that I didn't post. It's like they were trying to be a joke, but had no self-awareness. To quote Nietzsche, "He who parodies autists should look to it that he himself does not become an autist."
