I've had the unfortunate pleasure of being aproached by this dude for a commission. I had no idea who he was at the time.
All he did was complain about zone tan and their fans, and push me to do multi page comic/image set I said I couldn't do.

Colossal asshole but boy did I have a few good laughs.

I think it's because the show is easy and simple to watch.
I mean, the show has pretty much everything your typical autist would like: talking vehicles, bright colors, problems being solved with friendship, etc. The same way how MLP and The Loud House got popular.

At least MLP has real animation. Thomas the Tank Engine is just static faces with voice overs. And I guess the occasional scene where they turn the trains on and run them on the track. I don't know, I hated that show when I was a toddler because it felt so stupid and those goddamn static faces.

To be fair, the newer Thomas episodes now have CGI faces that move. That doesn't make it any better though. It actually makes it more creepier than it needs to be.
