Devil May Cry to get an animated series from creator of Castlevania Netflix series - Bootleg Multiverse

Is Lady supposed to be either wearing something akin to Iron Man armor or is she half demon too? How in the fuck does she get knocked around or blown up the way she does and she's fine?

Adi Shankar is a dumb faggot pajeet. Fuck that guy.
Her armour is made of 100% plot resistant metal. Dante easily dodges bullets from entire hordes of men shooting at him only for his super speed and reflexes to stop working when Lady fires a grappling hook at him.

I mean it's a massive plot point when a demon like Sparda turns his back on all that.
Theres a grand total of 4 good demons, and of which 2 are artificial beings.

Really, people talk "but theres that one dude in the anime" as if the point remains: if theres countless good demons suffering under the "real bad demons", it means its not a question of absolute willpower to change their nature.

I saw a post on twitter that pretty much sums why people defend it.

A guy posted that he decided to continue watching the moment he saw they would criticize the US and he knew le chuds would hate it.

They arent even doing that because they like the animation, all that matter is own the chuds.

Also, Vergil quoting the fucking meme in the last episode, God save us from having an actual writer.

Edit, found it

The only recurring plotpoint of DMC is that the reason Dante is capable of defeating an unlimited number of demon gods and why he keeps turning vergil's ass into paste over and over again is because being in touch with his human side gives him strength.

Out of the 5 DMC games the plotpoint of like 3 of them is that Vergil sold out his human side and allied himself with supersatan and the reason dante beats him and supersatan nonstop is because Dante loves his human side.
Vergil never allied himself with Mundus. He got enslaved.

And then decided he liked it so much he sold his soul to demons in dmc3 and 5 all over again.
In DMC3 he was going after his fathers power and got stuck in the Underworld where Mundus kicked his ass and turned him into Nelo Angelo. The game is the first in the timeline.

In DMC5 he managed to pull himself together after being freed from Mundus in DMC 1. He splits is human part from himself and becomes full demon for a while. He never allies himself with any "super satan"

Eating the demon fruit to turn himself into mega satan is allying himself with supersatan in all but name.

And I'm pretty sure in dmc3 he was also seekign some sort of forsaken demon power which is why he summoned the demon tower to take over the world.

This anime is bad. Not in the animation, sound and music department. It would be in designs and script. What astounds me about this show is who is this made for? It can't be the OG fans of Devil May Cry because they take an axe to the continuity and try to cobble something out of the splinters.

If they're trying to taint someone's first time with Devil May Cry... they're doing a very piss poor job in it.

The only good thing I can say about this animation are the combat, the sounds and the music. Where it falls the fuck apart is the story. It jumps all over the place. You really don't get much time to get to know the characters. Dante just gets pulled into one situation after another and no time to rest. This is a stark contrast to the 2007 version where you do get to see him do his cuhrayzee stuff but its balanced out with moments where he is trying to live life as a guy.

Another thing that kills this show is their reliance on nostalgia baiting. A good show is something that can stand on its own merits. Say what you will about the 2007 edition but at the very least its easy to get into, there's a plot and you don't need to know the series to get into. Its a good springboard into the games.

But if you decide to start your journey into Devil May Cry using this show... you're gonna be left confused on who is supposed to be who and the fact that the moment you decide to play the original games, you're gonna realize how they've done so much of the bosses in the game so dirty. Because in the games, they're treated as legit threats. Here, they're just mooks for Dante to trivialize again and again as they get tossed aside quite quickly.

This picture below showcases what the fuck is wrong with this show. The design philosophy of the series is thrown out the window. Slick, Stylish and sexy stuff with a ton of gothic influence.

Compare knock-off XCOM Lady with... this Lady from Devil May Cry 4.

They did her dirty in the anime by turning a woman with trust issues into a cocky girlboss.

Now let's talk about the most controversial feature of this show. The moment where Politics enter Devil May Cry. The series was always about some white-haired half demon who can not only take punishment but goes out of his way to utterly humiliate various demons, devils and other unnatural beings from another world. Sure, Dante and friends completely fuck up some theocracy in 4 but the main focus has always been his war with the very demons that took away his family.

The series trying to be political by painting demons to be sympathetic completely goes against what the franchise was always all about. In fact there's been a few series that tries that angle and to some degree made it work. The R-18 Taimain Franchise and Yu Yu Hakusho.

Had it not been for the political messaging, this series would have been a dumb and fun watch. Now its relegated to the trash pile along with other pozzed projects.

TL;DR: This show is pozzed and is a complete mockery to the franchise. You are definitely going to get greater entertainment value in buying the figures and mashing them against each other.

Just watch the 2007 version if you want that animation fix or just play the games. They're cheap.

Episode 6 was pretty good.

It was entirely a flashback origin for Lady and the white rabbit. And It was legit enough to make me wonder if Adi and the writer really wanted to explore this storyline without thinking of the politics. Like maybe they were naive enough to think it was a cool concept to explore with the DMC license and just naive.

The white rabbit is an entirely original character, He's not Arkham. I like how he has a very simple, storybook origin and I thought it was great how they tied him to Lady with the way they switched up the color palette/animation. It is a well told story and if I cut out the current events from my brain, if I just take it as is and see it as nothing more then a classical tragedy. It's legit great.

The problem is Adi is aiming too high for DMC. He's trying to make it into something it's not, and he 100 percent deserves that criticism. But all the same, I get what he's trying to do and I appreciate that it does feel sincere.

However, at the end of the day they really just needed to come out and say that these human looking aliens were not fucking demons. That they were separate from this shit. Because they were. None of them look like the other evil cockroach shit the good guys fight. They even get depicted as slave labor/ food for the real fucking demons in hell. It's an easy fucking retcon and either there weren't enough test screenings for this or someone just completely dropped the ball.

We have a good story here. Someone just didn't have good common sense on how to make it more palatable.

A lot of it is a combo of the armor and a bunch of near misses. I actually think they did a good job with her combat wise. She does get banged up a couple times and just barely manages to survive a couple encounters with legit guile. At once point she gets stabbed through the arm and uses some kind of green syringe to get back in. ( RE reference?) She basically has the same durability and agility as an RE hero now that I think about it. She just has rocket boots, magnetic weapons and holographic grenades to compensate.

I have stood up for the man when no one else would but this is pretty much a lie. A well meaning lie maybe, but a lie. Arkham's dead in the origin story, her motivation is different, her combat style is different. I honestly like her character in this as a real hard ass bitch, but she's not the same.

I can believablely say Dante is the same but lady is a good 40 to 60 percent different at least.

Lady is a normal-is human, the weird part out his family is one of his ancestor is a priestess who helped Sparda seal Hell with her blood in a sacrifice. Making Lady's blood and all her shenanigans, a plot point in DMC3. But she is complete outclassed by pre-DT Dante.

That not the case with Mary, because she is complete different character from Lady, she is have an absolute crazy plot armor. But her relevancy to the plot is almost zero, because his father is already dead and she have zero conection to openning the portals to Makai.

Enzo had more relevancy to the plot and I liked him much more.

And here's the edgy Pajeet with an explanation for the changes and why it's not part of his so-called bootleg universe, whatever the hell that is.

The translation for the Spanish text is the following: Seeing this comment, I seriously started hating Adi Shankar when he said this: Pagan Min from Far Cry 4 is a dictator who hates the revolutionary group that took his daughter and cares for his beloved's son. In Captain Laserhawk he is a stereotypical generic gay mobster

Someone correct if Im wrong, but dont in DMC, the weaker demons are mindless beasts, instead of poor sobs who are suffering under their evil masters? Like, the only difference between a weak and a strong demon morality wise is that the strong are smart and so they choose to be as evil as they can instead of being just animals?

Sad part is this is on Netflix, so going to get a whole bunch of people who take it as is the rendition of these characters.

Had no idea Adi was on PKA and it turns out, It was a shitshow.

How the hell dose this hack keep his job?
40 year old with a trust fund dad.

And yet OG Lady is cool. This one is just your typical white woman girl boss that people either hate or insist is a good character.
