I'd imagine that the same people agreeing with this guy are also the same people crying about lawyers protecting unfavorable people in the courtroom. It goes without saying that lawyers in any situation will try to find any angle that gives the best results and what they find to be the most favorable feedback. It is straight up digging through the dirt to get what worms you can, and Devin found his golden nugget

Also, I have no idea if this is true ( I think I recall Rekieta saying this) but didn't Legal Eagle offer to help anarchist protestors who caused property damage during last years protests/riots?

It wouldn't surprise me. Do we know if he's a National Lawyers Guild member? That seems to be a good sign in showing how far left a particular lawyer is, since the NLG includes the sort of people like the communist district attorney of San Francisco Chesa Boudin. Although Legal Eagle seems too milquetoast to me to be anything but someone who wishes he could be a talking head on CNN or MSNBC. Doing legal work for the "peaceful protests" sounds mostly like an excuse to grow his channel/look good rather than the sort of true believer like most of the NLG lawyers are.

I partially agree with you but him being a lawyer with a breadtube channel about being a lawyer is kind of a red flag.

A lawyer with a side hustle comes off to me as a lawyer not too focused on his cases.

I was wondering when this shitweasel would finally get a thread if his very own. He just epitomises what everyone thinks of when you say the word Lawyer. A gasbag bullshitter who'd side with whomever he believes is going to give him money. Fuck him and his pristine unread "I'm smhart" prop books. That inevitable metoo accusation is going to be a family funsize bucket of laughs when it hits.

His website raises a few red flags for me. There's a lot of talk about his social media, his "number one on youtube legal channel", and all this garbage about public speeches and what not, but not a lot about any kind of high profile cases or anything that could be seen as "news worthy" even any awards he might have won outside of three awards from the school he studied at. Seems like his youtube channel is his main hustle and I get the feeling he's probably more of a shyster at this point. Hell, he's even apart of a Youtube group called "Standard" which seems to be a circle of "smart and educational creators." Which only further fuels my opinion that he's probably a shit lawyer using what he's learned to sucker fools on social media. He claims he's settled enough cases that it's valued at over "$300,000,000!!" but then offers no insight or links to any cases he's worked on, and he seems to circle the small business side of laws.

Most noticeable of information, though, is the two practices he worked at, both "Barnes & Thornburg" and "Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP." Barnes & Thornburg are most noted for filing an election fraud lawsuit on behalf of Michael Lindell (MyPillow guy who could have a thread of his own at this point in time) and the other practice is notable for having one of their partners represent Paul Manafort during the "Russian hacking investigation" for the 2016 election, she was one of the lawyers that got duped into sending letters/emails containing inaccurate information. Another noteworthy of the second practice is their involvement in the Impeachment inquiry, they represented the Ukraine specialist.

All in all, if I needed a lawyer and somebody linked me to his website, I'd probably look for another lawyer.

Edit: Another thing to note is that Devin had a brief feud with MatPat (The Game Theorist) over a Fortnite video. Devin accused MatPat of piggybacking off his Fortnite video and cried about plagiarism. So I can throw in the fact that he's also a crybaby too.

Maybe my research skills are crappy or something, but even when I look him up by name I get very little about the cases he has done. All I get are websites pretty much saying to go to his youtube channel, and a few articles about how he was going to sue the white house, and other government agencies. I don't doubt he has done some cases that were pretty large (valued over 1 million dollars or more) but it being over $300,000,000 when all combined sounds like a bunch of bullshit. If he is settling cases that large then he shouldn't really have the time to be making generic "guy with a job reacts to a movie/game" and making his youtube channel his main focus. I would love to see all of the trials he was part of just to see if all his cases got close to even $200,000,000

I have seen people bitch about using their video for info, but this is absolutely stupid. Like of course there is gonna be some stuff said between the two that is similar, if not the exact same. There are only so many ways you can explain the law when making videos on it. Even Devin knows he was an idiot here since he unlisted the video.

I've never watched him, because merely seeing his face and his channel didn't sit right with me. Now that there's a thread on him, he seems like a law version of Neil DeGrasse Tyson: someone whose expertise in a certain field gets him praised as an infallible sage endlessly by Redditors.

Fantastic OP. I came across this douchebag when a girlfriend put on his video about 90 Day Fiance where he had to seque into the most inane rant against the Trump Admin Immigration policy.

He's like a Bizarro Mike Cernovich, but at least Mike makes it clear to everyone that he is in fact a troll.
