Personally, I'm not sure I trust Dev's word versus what we've seen from the on-stream interactions for D&D. One thing I do know for sure is that if I knew nothing else about Dev, him going to bat for Rags is an immediate red flag.

As a fan of the campaign and the ArchCast I can tell you he is lying out of his ass here while also adding a bit of truth in order to make it more believable.
Yes Veeh was a sperg and he does lose his patience with Dev as well as Rags, often time rage quitting like a man child or screaming in the microphone.
But it was obvious that in the last episode Rags was trolling and gaslighting him hard, which is what caused vee to leave.
Sargon then brought him back and kicked Rags because he saw what the dog was doing and decided to continue the campaign as if nothing happen.
Dev stayed for another session where he barely played the game and instead focused entirely on creating drama for arch and sargon. Poking the chat about Rags not being there and trying to make the conversation about anything else besides the game.
After that he bounces and says he won't play again because Rags is upset and it's just not right.
TLDR: Dev can't stop lying at all. And if this how he behaves with his "friends" imagine how he behaves with other people.

EDIT: Remember when I shared a while back that the old Denotized channel was wiped? For some reason, as in no reason at all, Dev has started a new Devonetized YouTube channel. 15 videos uploaded over 4 days, all of them being old anime reviews from 2009. This coincides with Dev removing streams a few days ago. Maybe I need to do a doublepost just for this.

The playlists to show the only content uploaded on here are their old anime reviews... Wait a minute, 17 videos in a playlist, on a channel with only 15 videos available? What's going on here?

I think that explains it. Seems like he dumped all the uploads and they may be scheduled for release. But if so wouldn't there be public Premieres on this channel? More importantly, what is the point of re-doing the archive work that you have maintained for almost a decade, on the older channel that was monetized based on the views and dedicated viewerbase retained from fans of the original channel?

Well it's not that confusing really. Dev is truly in DFE mode. Likely as other people have speculated it looks like he is up for a rebrand, down to his edgiest content on YouTube via Devonetized being completely revamped.

Do note that while the old Devonetized was still up, it contained videos like Is It Possible to Be a Moral Pedophile. Which has already been roasted much earlier in this thread, in the first few pages. It also contained some of Dev's most well-regarded videos from the past when he had some semblance of goodwill, like his CHAZ video or the video about the Nazi Rainblow Flag meme, with both of those videos if I remember correctly, reaching close to, or even surpassing 100k views. Clearly his community knew about this channel and knew it well. So... the fact it was wiped and rebuilt from scratch should say something about the state of his audience and how it is going to start shifting in the next few months, and years...

I would have agreed since his fat could lubricate the blades, but upon reconsideration his gristle would be so thick it would clog up the machine and prevent a smooth "exit". It would be a better punishment to shove a stick through his body and roast him up for the Muslims to enjoy.

No shit, he deleted the original version of his Skullgirls and Stellar Blade Indiefensibles to make sneak edits and cuts and claim ''they were taken down because they got flag by slurs'', among videos like the one he condemn the dude who shot a creep who was trying to harm him and was calling him a pedophile just to fuck with him because person B was le 2015 YOUTUBE PRAeehrr i mean, Social Experiment Channel!

He is covering his tracks, i got the mp3 of the OG version of his skullgirls video, cant remember, but did he deleted the part when he said that Mike Z '' wasnt guilty sure, BUT HE CERTAINLY WASNT INNOCENT''?

Haven't checked yet but I think that part stayed the same, I'll correct myself if that isn't the case. He did censor himself and a video segment of someone else saying the word faggot around the thirty minute mark.
