Dev's fundamental weakness has always been willful blindness. A part of this I attribute to his being Canada, but most stems from a steadfast refusal to do any introspection whatsoever.

Since vidya is a wheelhouse of his, I'll use it to cite my favorite example, because, like Bob Chipman, it exposes Dev more or less instantaneously.

Back during the 90s and early 2000s, there absolutely was shithead righties who cheerfully went against video games. By the time H-Dawg had proposed this shit, similar laws had already been passed - and subsequently overturned - in Illinois, California, and Michigan.
