I think this tweet really helps to show why I hate this guy. It really demonstrates the dishwater temp IQ he has. And before I write more, don't mistake this as me endorsing Communism. I hate communism and socialism. And if you were to tell me that in the future I would die in a war that was trying to erase communism? I would find it a rewarding death.
So for the average person, this kind of statement is fine. BUT, if you have read all the books the centrist (TM) has and researched about the topic as he claims to have, you would know this statement is abysmal. So the main problem is that capitalism is honestly evil and doesnt exist. We have a mixed economy, meaning the "capitalism" we experience doesn't have faults. it means Communism is making things miserable in real time. It's like hand cuffing Bob Ross to Andy Warhol and then claiming all the paintings Bob Ross churns out just inherantly have their own issues. Really dip shit? You think the crazy sex pests you weighed the good guys down with have no impact on the output?
But thats the obvious part. So lets go into the details of why capitalism is evil and anyone who bothered reading books would never make the statement he did.
So what is capitalism? Private ownership of capital for the purpose of acheving the greatest profit possible. What is Capital? Anything you can use to run a buisness or produce goods and servies. So littearly every single thing in existance is capital. You can littearly just substitue the words "things that exist" with the word capital and it doesnt change the deffinition. I have yet to be made aware of a tangible object that is not capital. In fact, this is key because it's how socialists justify craming themselves into littearly everything. Because everything is a part of the bad system.
Something that not alot of people understand is that "Capitalism" is actually a socialist invention. The most famous use of it was of course "Das Kapital" (I'm sure SFO will have claimed to have read this and should have) by Marx. But, the first recorded use of it as far as I'm aware is by Louis Blanc in "Organization of labor" from the 1840s(The actual title is in french. Go get fucked france, real languages don't end 75% of their words with soft consenent sounds or U. Stop being gay.) It's used in pretty much the same way it is in Das Kapital which came out about 15 years after 'Organization of labor'. The big point is: smart people who are good with money didnt invent capitalism which should raise every red flag in the world.
Why did this happen? Well, one of the most important things to understand is that the best way to win an argument is to control what the other person says. If you can get your opponent to agree to your vocabulary, you've basically allready won. The other half of the equation is that socialism is a shit system no one likes. So, how do you, in arguments against people that dont want frenchies and know it all germans running every aspect of their lives, convince people socialism is good? Simple, you create a villan for socialism to trounce and then convince everyone that life is a binary and that all the problems in the world is the fault of the villan. Thus the incredibly easy to defeat 'Capitalism' is born. You can tell this is what happened too, because along with private ownership of property comes the explicit goal of earning profits.
Any system with the goal of profits above all else using every single physical object in existance is what makes the fictional system of capitalism evil. Or as Dev has said, means it has issues.
Of course, very few things in life is a binary, and sadly socialists have been pretty succesful in convincing everyone that capitalism is just private property. In some ways that's fine for people that have lives and dont read books every chance they get. But again, Dev claims to be such a man of education that he'll crap out multi hour long vids about Jan 6th and claim he has found the truth of centrism. So, this shouldnt be a small thing for him. But back to the binary, if he was to actually reads the books he claims he has and give relevant sides an honest listen, he would know of alternative options. Options such as property rights and free trade. Under this system, the only thing that matters is that you own your property and can do whatever you want with it so long as you dont hurt other people. Want to tell someone to fuck off and get off your property? Want to buy a car you only do donuts in on the weekends? Want to use bit coins or try to pay for everything with pretty bottle caps? Hell, want to buy a 20 foot by 20 foot plot of land in the woods and then fuck off to go live in that spot and never talk to another person again? You want free trade and property right. Simple as.
As a man that flunked out of highschool to the point people thought it was a waste of time for me to bother trying for a GED, I can understand this. So there is littearly no reason for Brainiac Dev not to. so at the end of the day we are left with only a few options about why Dev would make this statement.
1. Dev has read all of the books he claims he has, but is so stupid, he cant pick up on this distinction.
2. Dev is lying about having actually done research into most of what he claims
3. Dev is just trying to help and push unironic commie talking points
4. Dev's become so addicted to the attention he gets from bad hot takes he will say littearly anything
5. And what I think is most likely, Dev will say whatever it takes in the moment to either win debates or look the most enlightened.
Because again, if Gramshy's pet butt monkey is good with researh, and has read all the books he claims to have, and actually understands what they are saying? He wouldn't be popping up with "Capitalism good". Because capitalism is not good. It's evil. And only people that dont read these books would be justifiable in making that mistake.
