I don't really see a problem with that statement.
If you have a sitting president who attempts to very transparently circumvent the political process to maintain his own power, yes, that's what the 2nd amendment is expressly designed to prevent and you have a constitutional duty as an American to make sure that kind of shit doesn't happen.
No its not. It's for if the Gov turns tyranical. First off theres a very strong case to be made that winning a fair election isn't tyranical. In facts there's a very solid case that winning an election would be the opposite of tyrany.
But, more importantly, the big problem with that is it's just retardedly jumping over a ton of steps. It would be like shooting someone dead for jay walking. Completly out of proportion when you consider you havent tried anything else like talking to, writting a ticket for, or arresting the jay walker.
I know Dev is a retard that should kill himself, BUT, there is a procedure. Mind you, Dev has no clue what that procedure would be.
Such as:
Not having Trump on any ballots
Telling the electors that A third term in office is against the rules and the electors casting their ballots do it for someone else.
If the electors still cast their ballots, refusing to accept them.
If the ballots get accepted, you can just refuse to certify the election. Yes this is that thing that they talked about in 2020 and the left lost their shit over.
Now, if someway, some how, it gets to the point that they certify Trump as president you could also have other things done.
One of the losing parties could sue and take the election to be overturned at the supreme court.
The millitary could remove him.
Now, keep in mind, if he is somehow so absurdly popular that none of that happens to him, that he somehow says "Sure there are rules but you guys love me right?" and the hundreds of thousands of people needed for this to happen all just nod and go "Yeah, you got 85% of the vote and we like the cut of your jib," Never mind what the law says, we need to have a conversation about how we change term limits and if we want to increase them or just make a one time exception.
Basically a citizen needing to assasinate the president to save freedom from a guy stealing a third term is something that will never occur under the current rules and set up.
