Neither side was fascist, but if a person had to point their finger at one, the Union was more fascist than the Confederacy was. Because "fascist" has little to do with "mean to minorities" and a lot more to do with, y'know, "powerful central governments forcing nationalism." Which is why both Marx and the fascists themselves admired Lincoln.

Things that Neo-Unionists ignore:
- The Republican Party of that era being heavily influenced by Know Nothings (nativists, anti-Catholics, anti-Mormons)
- The Republican Party being heavily heavily influenced by Free Soilers, who were usually White ethnonationalists that didn't want slavery because they didn't want Blacks around
- The Union war machine being turned on the Plains Indians with exterminationist vengeance
- The Confederacy being specifically anti-Black, not White ethnonationalist: last Confederate general to stand down being Cherokee, generally had more Indian support than the Union, the large Tejano contingent, cultural ties to the Caribbean, other oddities like Chang and Eng Bunker (more welcomed in the South than the North, sons fought for the Confederacy)
- How the Union was A-OK with wage slavery in company towns and de facto "neoslavery" as long as it got to sit at the top
- The Republican Party also being aggressively imperialist overseas... Texas is a Dixie move-in-to-a-place-nad-subvert-it job, Hawaii is the version for men of Massachusetts...

That meme isn't even about polyamory or whatever the fuck Dev wants to talk about. He cropped the original, which I don't have in hand, but it's from a meme about the difference between male porn fantasy plots and female porn fantasy plots and the honest fucking weird disconnect between them.

The pic is the male part, where the male fantasy is show as the sort of harem anime shit where some 5/10 guy suddenly has a shitload of 10/10 women all over him and he wants all of them to stay around and he has sex with them and loves them all and so on. The part not shown is the female part where the Billionaire WereVampireTaur Gigachad is strangling the woman saying he will never ever allow any other man to come close to them and the female gooner is all like "harder daddy".

Most notably, neither of these are shown as anything other than fantasies to highlight the difference in male and female psychology. The meme was never meant as a serious argument for polyamory and in fact it doesn't imply it at all.

Dev is hitting his mid-life crisis. He's probably fucked one woman his entire life. Now that he looks in the mirror, sees crows feet, and a hairline that is receding like a French battle line, he's realizing that he's getting old. That he's wasted his life chasing e-fame and never made it.

He feels like he's missed out on life. Much like one Nicky Rackets. So he wants to chase pussy. However, Dev looks like a goblin. He also doesn't have a real job and already has a girlfriend. He also doesn't want to get rid of said gf, because Dev is all about personal comfort, and a break up is uncomfortable. He might have to get a real job to cover the bills if that happens. So Dev brings nothing to a relationship, nothing any woman wants, and nothing any man dressed like a woman wants. Dev is so unfuckable, that gay men won't fuck him, and they'll knowingly fuck dudes with AIDS.

So polyamory is his last gasp, his last kick at the can where he believes, wrongly I might add, that he can keep the gf and with his effervescent personality he can bring in some other woman or a man dressed as a woman to give him a pee pee touch. That he can live the freewheeling life of a man 15 years younger and a 150 pounds lighter.

It's either that or *Naomi is fucking other dudes and he's coping.
