Also lmao wow this is insanely stupid. Asking for people's PII is not a good solution to his minor problem especially as he has a history or being irresponsible with PII (which goes beyond the Fiona incident! I'm not sure if the other ones—two at least—are documented here but I'm sure they will be eventually.)

I cannot emphasize enough how dumb an idea this is. First off minors can just lie, but of more concern, if people tell the truth, then a date of birth, even a rough location, maybe just a first name, maybe another detail or two adds up to more than enough to dox the hell out of someone and a lot of people on Devon's servers overshare. Going after people would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

As ever with Devon it is hard to sort stupidity from malice but this certainly looks like a way to get potentially compromising information out of people in a way that looks harmless or even responsible, and yet it is the very opposite, especially since at the end of the day the information is not verifiable and thus really not useful at all. (Devon also has a problem with using "proofs" that actually prove nothing...see Bella's fake ID.)

Even if Devon doesn't intend harm here, and I'm willing to believe he doesn't (and is just dumb as a box of rocks), then still his mods have been shown to be irresponsible and his server to leak like a sieve. Asking people for their PII in this context goes beyond dumb. In truth this asshole should really not be trusted on the internet without an chaperone lol.
