Anyone playing paladin? Really thinking about buying this because everything else is gay but…. Blizzard is gay af now.
its basically the most fleshed out class alongside Warlock because they are the newest, it has all of D2 and D3's greatest hits.

you can even just spam Zeal, which will now end up being a massive AOE of Hero's of Yor also spaming Zeal around you in a big fuck off attack, its gotta be the most braindead build in the game, but its fun because eventually your attack speed and Zeal damage is insane.

Man, I did love the cinematics in the end. Very abstract and singleplayer'esque. Sadly my Steam overlay wasn't on and I've no clue if you can replay them.

That said: Fucking hell, trying to get the 100% map exploration and it's beyond borked. Either it's literally bugged or there's stuff to explore that isn't indicated on the map.

I can't bring myself to beat the game a second time with warlock after necro doing all of it and better. I still don't get why they sexualized Warlock so? Did they go for "for demons, by demons" succubus style? But why the rock-hard abs then?

I'd be open to doing end-game content but I genuinely don't know what it'd be. I'm just spamming warplans cause I've no fucking clue what else you're meant to do.

You can make a character that starts post campaign and have them open chaches from other characters to blow your level up, plus all post campaign content is better exp than story content, why are they swole? Being a Warlock is a much more physical art than mage,

And endgame is pushing into higher difficulties and doing the Super Bosses

Do you still need to activate all 300 god damn Lilith statues? I haven't played since the seasons started and they said we'd need to do that shit a second time (I never did it all the first time, genuinely the most tedious thing ever designed).

For one, Lilith statues do nothing but poop gold and gems now.
Two the only thing that gets you skill points and Paragon points is the seasonal achievements shown on the map.
Three, achieving any of them does it for all your characters that season, most are 'do a thing you'd already do'.
And no you can just make a seasonal character with that campaign completed, every season going forward, you never have to do the campaign again, suck it POE.

Well damn, between that and Paladin being back I might give it a go then. I knew if I waited long enough they'd unfuck their game.

It's a really odd thing in gaming. You'll see newcomers appear, blow up the scene, "clown on the OGs", then some time pass and the OGs prove why they're long-lasting.

"Dawggg Last Epoch!.... uh, PoE2! Grim Dawn expansion!!! (that they teased.. 3 years ago? still a few more years away?)". The fact D2 and D4 are on Steam is enough reason I'll keep playing them. I know the others are too, but battle net was the only real thing I hated about playing Diablo.

I wish I could play them on steam but I'm not rebuying them and I already play WoW on bnet, oh well.

Grim Dawn imo is the only of those that understood it needed to be a FUN game, versus the garbage way PoE tries to be 'serious' to the point its joyless.

I like Last Epoch, but I had a few gripes, namely how the game is played is similar to POE in terms of systems, but not quite, what you are really always doing is voltroning a single move into killing everything on the screen at light speed, its similar, but less complex, and also there's only so much actual unique loot you care about, since your focusing on your one move and its support.

It certainly has tons of crafting options and tons of stats, but once you get down to it, its decidedly LESS complex than D4, which is startling

Best scene in the game beyond the spectacle of the final battle, and a very obvious nod to this famous painting, but a complete reversal, its not Adam reaching out to God, its you letting go of your creator, to really complete the biblical allegories in the game.

I was just thinking about the Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker in D3 and started to wonder when it would be in D4. A shame it’s just a cosmetic.

The prices on everything, though. Right after the $75 WoW house decorations makes it feel like Blizzard owes somebody money.

Beat the campaign, looking forward to grinding out the season. My biggest gripe is that from d3 to d4 the xpacs feel way smaller. Both BoH and LoH feel WAY shorter to me than reaper of souls. Maybe thats a detriment of the open world BS. Otherwise it was fun and had some moments that got hyped up. Hopefully we do have more xpacs coming for d4 because I thought this was going to fill way more of t he map that is in ??? mode.
Im also just going to go full all in on the fishing minigame. Fuck it.

edit: actually thinking about it my biggest gripe is the performance. On release the game ran great, and somehow the more theyfve added the worse perfomance has gotten with no discernable visual changes.

Ran a few dungeons as druid and somehow they made pet builds even less.. apparent? worthwhile? Guess I can give sorc a shot. As much as I like pets, it feels a bit shoddy to just afk in a corner waiting for them to kill shit. In that sense warlock is better; actually summoning demons with active attacks, but having to keep them up to keep your pets around kinda blows. Maybe sorc..

It's genuinely crazy. I think back to early WoW expansions, excited about new animation bonesets cause that means a new kind of enemy. "oh man, children's week in a new xpac: wonder what they'll add!", nothing. There's literally no new content in most of the world events. The expansions add one or two half-baked features they'll either double-down on or never touch again. Archaeology is completely gone. It's admirable that Diablo 3 added, modified and removed big features based on feedback. You see anything new in D4 and it sucks? That's straight-up just wasted development time. They won't alter it or remove it. I actually googled "new mercenaries lord of hatred" and before it loaded I caught myself going "of course not".

You can't call yourself anti-woke and then give these woke motherfuckers your money, I tested it on the free weekend, niggers and browns everywhere total immersion destroyer. Stop financing the people who hate you. Aside from that, the gameplay is so lame, Diablo 3 stays superior, and I played the cracked version of the recent Diablo 2 remake with the new character, also played the original Diablo 1 & 2 back in the days.

According to Howlongtobeat both xpacs clock in around 9 hours, and vessel of hatred at 11 hours interesting enough. It's been over a decade so my memory of my first playthrough is skewed lol. The open world design makes it feel like you just blast through the story, especially when you can just ride a mount from point a to b. Regardless I had fun, I think I just had my hopes up from VoH which felt like it had a ton of content.
