The acting is great and the jokes are hilarious. Dex fights for justice as a private investigator, but the show is not "woke" like most shows today. She is tough and says what's on her mind, and puts into action what she plans. The show discusses all the relevant issues in a straightforward manner. I am convinced that ABC canceled this series because the theme was not woke enough for the 2020s.
