Digimon

It depends on the medium, hilariously enough. Digimon has the better anime (though YMMV on the seasons), but Pokémon typically has the better games and a whoooole bunch of them to boot, and they're also more accessible on top of that.

I also learned from my husband Digimon had a pretty cool logo originally. Very grunge.

I would watch the show based on that logo alone.

I honestly love the incorporation of the Digivice in the American logo.

I hope the designer was paid a pretty penny for it.

I want this to be the sign for a station with portals to the digital world only the chosen children can see or some sort of Digimon pet store or vet clinic. This would have looked great as a sign for playsets of buildings and structures.

Digimon changes genre and direction constantly both game and show wise which makes it hard to market to the retarded masses.
They don't even have consistent lore or continuity which gives creators more freedom, but confuses non fans plus Digimon being typically shown to be in the same level as humans makes it more confusing than superpowered pets like Pokemon.

I just remembered, do we know what that announcement was about a few weeks ago?
Couple days late, but it was just for a concert celebrating Kouji Wada's 25th anni. All we know is coming is the Adventure Beyond short at Digimon Con in March

This is Digimon's greatest strength and weakness, it can be quite experimental and inconsistent but in a way that keeps it fresh and somewhat unique. To this day i haven't played a game that can replicate the feeling i got from Digimon World 1, only Moon Remix RPG has come close to that

So if I'm getting this right, this one seems to look the closest to Cyber Sleuth in gameplay loop, but looks like this time we actually visit the digital world. Something to be interested about.

Most likely based on this screenshot from steam the combat will be similar.
It also says we are going to Digital World: Iliad which is the Olympos XII ran Digital World and what was planned for Cyber Sleuth 3 so this is probably born from that.

Thank god, i am so happy this game didn't die in development hell.
While CyberSleuth isn't my favorite Digimon game out there i'm happy with what i see, they have definitely improved the digimon's models and it seems like we're gonna be able to visit the digital world, which was something that i didn't like about CS, it took place in way to many mundane locations, i want to see more wacky places and weird mixtures of nature and technology.

Agreed, Tokyo is a lame setting and stuff looking glitched out while style being Tokyo was a huge wasted. I'm looking forward to going to the digital world proper and spending some proper time in there.

As a kid, I used to get confused about the difference between Pokémon and Digimon. Which one is better?
Brand recognition, consistency, and as a media franchise: Pokemon.

Substance, innovation, gameplay and storyline: Digimon.

Edit:I've also never seen Ash merge with Pikachu to become a 20 foot tall anthropomorphic electrical weapons platform. Make of that what you will.

What I want is a game that makes good use of both, switching between real world and digital world trying to solve problems on both sides.
Cyber Sleuth IS the only Digimon game I really liked so if this is similar I'll be happy
Survive really shows how fucking boring they can make the digital world too

Pokemon Reburst is a manga where that's the gimmick. This is the MC fusing with the spirit of Zekrom, an electric Legendary Pokemon, to become an anthropomorphic electrical weapons platform.

I'm not saying it does a good job, but it does exist.

Needs more cannons/missiles and machine guns. Reminder that

Pokemon had interesting side games and some weird manga, but Pokemon fans are weird as shit as they will only buy merchandise and mainline games so anything interesting like Coliseum, Pokken, or Conquest will die.

Digimon fans are given basically fuck all and will take whatever scraps they get most of the time minus Appmon where they basically told old fans to go fuck themselves. Appmon is basically only remembered fondly by fujos, but is now being unearthed from the depths of hell for the Digimon TCG.

Just looked at the manga, and I'm unimpressed. No Charizard fusion or anything gen 3 or earlier. What were they thinking?

What ever happened to Wes anyway...
