archive.md creates a full, living backup of a website with all its resources. (example)

This is a standard of archive quality we're using on the https://lolcow.wiki, but it's good if everyone does it. Links to 3rd party websites are rarely a good idea unless you're actually trying to show people the URL, and not its content.

Do not, however, rely on social media embeds or direct links. Take screenshots and host them elsewhere, preferably directly to the site. Imgur is not safe. Twitter content belongs to their author and simply embedding it won't always work, so take screenshots. Facebook URLs include a token that links back to your account. If you use GNU/Linux, the tool "youtube-dl" is basically god's gift to mankind and the single most useful utility in the whole fucking world. It's available on most distros, including FreeBSD. If you know how to use the Windows command prompt, you can use it on Windows as well.

Windows users and dummies wanting to save YouTube / other video streaming content should look into youtube-dl-gui. Yes, even YOU can archive valuable, fleeting content! I will help you host it if it's a big file.

Yeah I've heard of this guy and have watched a few of his videos. I don't like to be mean but yeah, his voice is not the most pleasant one to listen to but what I found personally obnoxious was his forceful "wigger" voice he does or did ( I haven't bothered watching any of vids in a good while). His "wigger" speech just sounds forced and cringe at the same time, especially when you hear how he talks on the podcast where he's talking in his normal voice. I also found his videos insufferable to watch at times when he kept putting in memes as jokes into his videos and thinking that they made the video funnier. This isn't necessarily something only he does so I don't put all the blame on him, it's just something that really stood out back when I tried to watch his content.

Aside from that, I don't have much of an opinion on him. He's much younger than I am since I think he's barely in his 20s now? So I try not to be too hard on him. At the most I just find his content boring and unrelatable though the latter is more of my own problem and mostly just comes from the generational gap. I didn't grow up with Minecraft, Fortnite, mid-late 2000s CGI movies, and Mumblerap so yeah, it's pretty much the age gap that hinders me from relating to his interests.

Since people here have mentioned Gibi and a little about Rogue Internet Man, I was curious what some viewers think of Rogue Internet Man's content. I think he is okay and I like the dynamic he has with his co-host Asterisk when they do their livestreams but I absolutely cringe when he tries to act as disgusting as possible with the burping and Phlegm-filled coughing, spitting, and/or snorting. I don't understand why he feels the need to do that and it does kind of ruin the streams a bit (Like does anyone find that funny or necessary?). I aslo find it perplexing and a little disingenuous when he gets all high and mighty when he finds out someone is trolling Chris Chan (I also have this slight annoyance with Dillin himself). They act like they're above it but yet I feel like they know deep down that if people weren't pulling their shenanigans on Chris, they wouldn't have much views since it's clear that their Chris Chan content is what gets them the most viewer attention .

Not saying that I think Chris Chan should get trolled but I'm just saying that it's weird how these guys claim they get annoyed with the trolling when they bank off of it by talking about it. Yeah his claims of “patching” things up with the legacy comic just smells fake. I’m not surprised if he’s privately messaging them just pretending to save face. Personally if I had to choose who I'd rather watch for CWC content outside of Geno, I would choose Rogue Internet Man over Dillin because I just find him a smidgen more bearable to listen to but I stopped watching theiir Chris Chan content videos altogether and I just wait for Geno to upload his documentary instead.

Oh I don't disagree. If we're talking about his regular content, it's very bland and uninteresting. I think he tries to liven them up with those characters but it doesn't do it for me neither. I mostly only watch his Chirs Chan livestreams because despite his occasional gross out moments, I think he has mildly entertaining banter with his co-host and various guests he sometimes has on.

Right. Yeah if he stopped with the obnoxious loud burping and phlegm filled coughing (into the mic...), his streams would be easier to recommend. Thankfully he hasn't been doing that with his last few streams so maybe he's finally getting the picture that no one finds that entertaining.

And yeah, it's just very clear with him that he tries to be like Metokur and that is what will make or break whether you'll like his content or not. I never found Metokur all that entertaining myself but with Rogue, I'm able to hear past it because of his banter with his co-hosts in his streams. The only one I don't really care for is some guy named "PropaneKey" because he always gets so drunk that he can barely function and because of that, he barely contributes anything to the conversation. So I don't look forward to livestreams that involve him but all his other co-hosts are pretty decent thankfully and you can tell they're being themselves which is nice.

And that's fair enough on the goblin thing. I use Chris Chan stuff for background noise as well. I guess I don't care because I don't get the point of the character or whatever "plot" he's trying to shoehorn into his Deep dive videos.

Yeah his douchebag, self-entitled, arrogantly smug "perosna" (At least I hope it's a persona) can be hard to take at times Like I'm watching one of his streams right now of viewer submissions and he's just bitching about most of the content and it's like "Ok dude.
