I feel like the main character's design works well enough. Besides, I don't really see what you mean by "lack self awareness". The tweet you sent is him freely admitting he's needs work on expressions.

It's not like Dillin has unique opinions that are difficult to disagree with. He's siding with the more common popular opinions rather than the niche woke politically correct audience that comics have desperately been chasing and failing to grab. His "takes" on these comics and decisions are pointless since every other bigger and better comic review channel shares the same opinions, aside from the shills.

This same guy like to post writing critique/advice as well, all while making stuff with Dillin, and yet, he doesn't apply any of the stuff he says other people should do to what he and Dillin create, nor has he ever critiqued or pointed out any of the flaws in the comics he has worked on with Dillin, that they have pointed out in other people's work. It's basically a case of guilt by association when you work with Dillin. You can't shit on other people's work or think you're good enough to give other people advice, if you yourself are helping to create what by your own standards is considered sub par or "cringe" stuff.

That would be like me trying to tell someone else how to write a romance novel or something. People would take one look at the story in writing and go "who the fuck are you to tell ME how I should be writing?"

Its funny to me that Dillin is like wings in the sense that when he was in his prime he acted like the big bad of youtube. He was fine with fucking over people like rogue or dumbsville. But now that his cash cow is gone he is trying to be more humble and nice to try and save face from his edgy past.
 
But now I’m starting to really see that Dillin has a very narrow minded view towards all entertainment. It’s like he fails to understanding that people can have mixed feelings towards comics/movies/video games. With him he seems to come off as you either 100% hate the new comics or you mindlessly love them. There is no happy medium, just black and white.
