Having watched the N-Word video, I'm left scratching my head in regards to how I should feel. On one hand, I do appreciate that he's seemed to have taken some people's advice to start acknowledging his wrongdoings, but on the other I can't help but feel this was MAYBE half-assed? Like, sure he apologized and said he wasn't going to say stuff like that again, but was the justification really necessary?
Stuff like that tends to undermine the entire apology, foregoing any humility in place of trying to keep face while looking somewhat humble for brownie points.

Anyway, this is just coming from someone who was never offended by stuff like that, but he can't just have his cake and eat it too. Dillin, just say you fucked up and keep it moving, or if you absolutely feel the need to explain yourself, you could've tried wording that whole bit better. Regardless, I thought that was the end of it. Nope, I was wrong.

Despite some stuff being vague what caught my attention really was when he went on about the old internet for a bit in his apology. Since this is the internet not only are there infinite things to discuss, but he could discuss positive things as well. While he obviously can't be a Whang, WavyWebSurf, or Rogue he can certainly cover that stuff cause it seems his audience cares about those things more than comics.

...can someone explain why that wasn't his natural progression? Get away from edgier stories and just talk about the more more comical or funny happenings on the internet. He could even discuss bad things with good endings.

What's wrong with him mentally is that he's some fucking kid who got a way, way overinflated sense of ego and self importance riding off the success of what amounted to a trending topic who's only now realizing nothing he does is that special, that he has no real friends (since people online aren't real friends), and that he has no idea what the hell he's going to do with his life, and who desperately grasps at what tiny ounce of fading relevancy he still has while he, quite perceptibly, slowly transforms into a lolcow just like one of the ones who got him where he is, and he knows the only real solution is to leave the internet, but he can't bring himself to.

There's no mental illness there. Feeling miserable in that situation is 100% natural and expected.

Even if he wanted to stick to comics, he could instead be talking about comic book news like what Clownfish TV or Yellowflash does. I would be far more entertained by Dillin making fun of marvel and DC going woke and giving his thoughts on it than Superman teaming up with airheads and subway.
