Has anyone ever asked Chris if deceased people go to his dimension if they don't want to? Take Stan Lee, for example; he's a grown man, why would he want to go hang out with The Fantastic Four all day? So he can sit at home and read old magazines for all eternity while his creations go on dangerous adventures?

A lot of Marvel and DC are specified to be in universes that are not C-197, including both cinematic universes. Pokemon is in another named dimension, different timeline, and also not on Earth. Sonic is in multiple named dimensions that aren't C-197, and in timelines that don't have WWII or are very far in the future. The Neptunia shit is also in a named universe that is not C-197. His earliest qualifications on what OC are in C-197 would exclude all of the above. Is Chris aware of this?

I think it's possible to guide him through answers enough that, while it will mostly be vocalized pauses and filler sounds, you could still find what Chris is trying to convey. I think the intrigue would be seeing what Chris knows about the whole process, independent of Magi-Chan. He definitely knows less than what's explained on his Twitter.

Well the dimensional merging/crapture deal is recent. But iirc, Chris has had the multi-universe thing going on at least since he got into ponies, when he declared Equestria to be its own dimension, etc. Tbh I get so lost in his imaginary-world clusterfuck that I give up even trying to decipher it.

But technically speaking, he's had the different dimension/different universe thing going on ever since first creating Sonichu, creating the world he wishes he lived in.

I have both but unfortunately I didn't keep up with the idea guy saga and it's so expansive that I can't give a full summary right now. Though he first got the idea of a parallel cartooniverse from Who Framed Roger Rabbit I think.

I don't know where he got the idea of a dimensional merge from.

The whole isekai/alternate dimension genre is the same premise. It's not particularly unique, it's fairly popular, and trying to find specific media that mirrors Chris' merge shit isn't going to bring much insight. As far as recent anime goes, Re: Creators has already been brought up, Drifters shares concepts like deciding who goes to a universe, and even the multiverse shit from Dragon Ball fits, where each universe has a paired universe. I doubt Chris is aware of the former two, and I don't think he has any interest in the latter.

As far as other media goes, Chris is borrowing Earth-1218 from Marvel and the C-XXX designation from Rick and Morty. There isn't any one source that Chris had to get this from, and there's nothing to say that he, or Magi-Chan, didn't come up with some of the concepts independently.
